Section 18 FCR.rI 0 if the gra of this franchise <br />shall fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any of the provisions <br />or conditions - - Prescribed herein or in the act pursuant to which it is <br />adopted, and shall not within ten days after written demand for com- <br />pliance begin the work of compliance, or after such beginning, shall <br />not prosecute the same with due diligence to completion, then the dity, <br />by its legislative body, may declare this franchise forfeited. <br />Section 19. CHARTER AND LAW. This franchise is granted <br />under and pursuant to the Charter of said city and the Franchise Act <br />of 1937 as in effect at the time of the i ssuance of this franchise, <br />the provisions of which shall, be deemed a part hereof. <br />Section 24. -'WaRT TITS. This ordinance shall be known as, <br />and whenever referred to, cited or amended, may be designated as the <br />"Redwood City Electric Franchise Ordinance*" <br />Section 21. TAKING EFFECT. This ordinance shall take <br />effect thirty days after the date of its adoption. <br />Section 22. This ordinance was duly introduced on the 21st <br />day of March, 1938, and after a public hearing held on the 4th day of <br />April = 1938, was duly passed and adopted by the Council of the <br />City of Redwood City on. the said 4 th day of April , 1938, by <br />the following vote <br />Ayes and in favor of the foregoing ordinance, Councilmen, <br />Mc CARXtiY, CHRIS FLETUIJW�, TONES HOHN EVA MONULTY . <br />Noes and against the foregoing ordinance, Councilmen, <br />None. <br />Absent, Councilmen, <br />None. <br />?AUL A .
