�OS <br /> A roval of Final Ma - Oak Knoll Subdivision; <br /> 3120 Goodwin Avenue Dividend Industries Inc , applicant) <br /> Mayor Leipzig referred to the information provided by the Planning <br /> Department and the Planning Commission M�nutes regarding the sub�ect <br /> F�nal Map and invited anyone present who wished to speak to do so <br /> John Crevelt 1434 Mitchell Way, stated his home is ad�acent to the <br /> proposed development, and while he does not oppose it, he wishes to <br /> protect h�s own property interest, stating that he is concerned � <br /> about drainage and flooding which he suggested might result from <br /> the development and that he wished to have his remarks in the record <br /> He stated that no flooding problems had occurred during h�s 23 years <br /> in his present location and asked that he be assured that if any <br /> problems should occur that the City protect his property Mr <br /> Crevelt sketched on the blackboard to suggest what he believes the <br /> drainage patterns to be <br /> In response to question, Director of Public Works Pusich advised <br /> that he cannot make any statement with regard to Mr. Crevelt's <br /> sketch, but that drainage and flooding are among the first con- <br /> siderations of his staff in reviewing any development and that the <br /> proposed development has been reviewed and approved <br /> In response to question, Assistant C�ty Attorney R�back advised <br /> that no questions can be answered re9arding any C�ty liability <br /> without more information. <br /> Dick Alder Dividend Industries, Inc , advised that the concerns <br /> expressed by Mr Crevelt to Council were also addressed to his <br /> company and transmitted to the development engineers who do not <br /> anticipate that any drainage problems will be created, noting that <br /> the provision for runoff should result in improved drainage Mr. <br /> Alder advised that any catch basin which presently exists will <br /> remain in place He also advised that engineers from his company, � <br /> outside engineers and the City engineering staff have all reviewed <br /> the proposed development and have found it meets all good engineer- <br /> ing standards. <br /> Mr. Crevelt suggested that the development might cause increased <br /> runoff since the undeveloped land previously absorbed water. <br /> �, <br /> C�ty Manager Fales pointed out that it is not possible for a record <br /> to be made with regard to the proposed development which will <br /> guarantee forever to Mr Crevelt or anyone else that no water <br /> problems will occur on his property Mr Fales observed that the <br /> City meets its obligations in reviewing all developments with re- <br /> gard to current good engineer�ng practice <br /> MOTION T�tle hav�ng been read, Councilman Barrett �ntroduced the <br /> following resolution and moved, seconded by Counc�lman Biag�, its <br /> adoption <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7824 APPROVIN6 AND ACCEPTING FINAL MAP OF "OAK <br /> KNOLI SUBDIVISION," REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA SUBJECT TO CERTAIN <br /> CONDITIONS, APPROVING AND ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br /> IMPROVEMENT THEREOF, AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR SAID SUBDIVISION <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimousiy by roll call vote ' <br /> Reg.Mtg. -3- <br /> 6/20/77 <br />
