362 Doug Christensen, Executive Council of Homeowners Associations, stated that only Redwood Clty is allocating water to �rrigation accounts of condominiums on the basis of 50% of the water used for the same period in 1976 rather than making only the same 25� re- duction allocated to conventional single-family homes He sug- gested that discrimination exists and urged that Casa Puebla Homeowners be allocated the amount requested ' In response to question, Director of Public Works Pusich advised that the condom�nium homeowners receive the same individual resi- dence allocation as other homeowners, but that there �s a separate meter for the irrigation account which is allocated 50% of the 1976 usage in accordance with the provisions of the water emer- gency ordinance for such meters Mr Pusich advised further that, on the basis of agricultural studies, adequate minimal needs of landscaping of individual dwelling units on the average 60-foot lot is est�mated to be between three and four units per billing period. He said that the sub�ect condom�um is getting about 3z units of landscaping water per dwelling unit on the present 50% allocation and suggested that the common area is not as large as the combined landscaped area of a comparable number of single- family lots. In response to question, Assistant City Manager Smith stated that the C�ty is attempting to adm�nister the water emergency program with a minimum number of people at the lowest possible cost to the taxpayers. He advised that as a new laundry, he does not have water use experience for, the base year and stated that his present allocation of 85 units monthly is less than that allocated to smaller similar laundries based on their usage experience.
