Barrett (arrived 9 28 a.m.), B�ag�, Bury, Norris <br /> Rhodes, Vega and Mayor Leip n g <br /> Councilmen absent• None <br /> Offtcials and staff present City Manager Fales, City Attorney <br /> Schricker, Ass�stant C�ty Manager Smith, Director of F�nance Ference, <br /> City Clerk Hildebrand and Public Works Director Pusich <br /> Task Order IV-11 - Redwood City General Improvement District No. 1-64 <br /> pr�ared by Williams-Kuebelbeck and Associates, Inc. <br /> Mayor Leipzig reminded Council members that the purpose of the study <br /> session is to provide an opportunity for review of the sub�ect report <br /> � with staff, James Kuebelbeck and representatives of Mobil Oil Estates <br /> (Redwood) Limited in order that Council members may become well in- <br /> formed with regard to matters currently pending before the District <br /> of which they are the Board of Directors. <br /> City Manager Fales commented concerm ng areas of immediate need, <br /> stating that the connection of Peninsula Parkway at Holly and the <br /> Holly Street Interchange are needed to provide access for a prospecttve <br /> shopping center and for construction of the South Bayside System <br /> Authority (SBSAj facility Further, he stated that a water line con- <br /> nection with the City 7s a7so essential for the present residents and <br /> if future development is to take place in Redwood Shores He observed <br /> that when the present water service agreement with the Belmont County <br /> Water District (BCWD) expires in approximately July, 1980, it is not <br /> expected to be renewed <br /> Mr. Fales reviewed the history relating to the Dtstrict and referred <br /> to RESOLUTION NO 4933 and ORDINANCE NO 1128. He noted that con- <br /> struction in Redwood Shores has taken place on improved, subdivided <br /> land and since 1969, no bonds have been sold Now, Mobil and staff <br /> believe that if balanced development is to proceed, improvements are <br /> needed immediately. <br /> Director of Public Works Pusich commented and replied to quest�ons <br /> , regarding timing and cost of needed pro,7ects. <br /> Councilman Norris referred to his memo to the Board of GID 1-64 dated <br /> November 4, 1977 containing proposals for discussion purposes for the <br /> study session and requested it be considered at this time <br /> Study Session <br /> GID No. 1-64 <br /> 11/7/77 <br />
