In�esponse to suggestion that SBSA might underwrite part of the cost of improvement of Peninsula Parkway, since �t will be used by trucks bu�lding the fac�lity, Councilman Barrett, SBSA representative, advised that SBSA has a comm�tment to repair any damage to roads used by con- struction equ�pment Mr Fales advised that any restrictions on con- ' struction vehicles with regard to use of roads would also have to apply to any other construction taking place in the area such as by present developers of residential pro�ects Mr Pusich advised that every month construction of the SBSA facility is delayed will cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars (Mayor Leipzig arrived at 2 55 p.m ) Peter Gruchala (see above) stated that traffic safety �s as important to him as dollars and suggested that frequent truck trips will increase traffic hazards C�ty Attorney Schricker advised that reasonable con- � trols will be established Mr Fales advised that the contractor can be required to use an alternate route, if one exists Mr. Pusich ad- � vised that for the quantity of concrete needed, �t can be estimated that there will be some 5,000 truck trips over a two-year per�od to the S[3SA facility site In response to question, City Attorney Schricker advised that for the purpose of a study session the Council may act as the Board of D�rectors of GID No. 1-64 or as the City Council MOTION. Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman Ve9a, to continue use of the District funding concept with the followin9 changes. 1 District assume responsibility for destgn, construction and ' financing of those public improvements being of overall benefit to the District with developer participation, 2.
