184 City Attorney Schricker advised that a letter was sent to 6elmont from t�e City Manager in December 1975. Mr Fales advised that when the fill perm�t for the shopping center is issued, the District wzil have to ask Mobi7 to advance funds to take care o� tne ura�nage probiem witn the understanding that �t �s a bas�c GI� respons�b�lity. Attempts wili be made to have Belmont ' reimburse the District for some of the cost. Mr. Fales stated that drainage bonds canrot be set up bEfore the perrr�t is issued. Jim Neuman (see above) suggested Mobii would be willing to lend the needed money, provided bonds would be issued to repay the company and confyrmed that the �mproved interchange is needed for ar�y devel- opment of the shopping center Conunent was made concerning the status of the proposed Parkwood 101 development. Councilman Nerris, San Mateo County 7ransit D�strict representative, dzstributed the following documents. Penrnsula Tr�ansit Alternative Pro�ect (PENTAP), Short Range Ob;;ect�ves-Transit Improvement Program (1976-1980), Proposed Greynound Routes, Base and Supplementa7. City Manager Fales advised that two groups are now involved with ex�ens2on of the Downtown Pro�ect to Main Street the Chamber of Commerce Task Force on tne Downtown, whose membership includes Cuuncilman Bury and the Historic landmarks Elements Task Force whose charge has been extended to inciude exploration of other areas Mr. Fales observed thaz Counc�lman Bury is chairman of the latter group, thereby providing a lia�son with the Chamber of Commerce group.
