He stated further that they have no ob-
,7ections to using the same route as used for the Fourth of July
parade, and no ob,7ections to the date of Sunday, May 22. In answer
to question from City Attorney Schricker, Mr. Fakouri stated that
during the parade, there will be PCA personnel on the parade site
Isabelle Lemon representative of KNBR Radio, stated that they have
no ob,7ection to the recommended parade route nor to the date of
Sunday, May 22, at 1 30 p m
In response to question regarding cost to the City, Mr. Fales listed
the followin9 cost estimates, based upon past Fourth of July parades,
as follows Police (43 officers, overtime) $3,000, Public Works
, (barricades and cleanup) $1,600, and Parks (bleacher set up) $700
Mr. Fakouri noted that the bleachers could be eliminated, thereby
saving $700.
The question of insurance was discussed and concern for the damage
vandalism could do to the newly refurbished and planted downtown 1
-2-
Reg Mtg.
3/28/77
.
U-
