E1 Camino Real Improvement Pro�ect - Phase 3 Program Supplement No 3 b City Manager fales referred to his report dated April 20, 1978, to which was attached a report of April 7 from the Director of Publ�c Works regarding the sub�ect improvement pro�ect and recommending approval of Program Supplement No. 3 to Local Agency-State Agreement No. 04-5029 MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Chandler introduced the following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Norris, its adoption. RESOLUTION N0. 8045 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT td0 3 BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING A SIGNAL PROVEMENTS ON EL CAMINO REAL The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote. Council indicated there had been inquiries concerning a number of ' trees on E1 Camino Real and whether anything can be done to mim mize their removal in connection with this pro�ect. Mr. Fales indicated in response that there had been discussions with the State, that it would be dtfficult to save the trees, but that ultimately there will be a reasonable scheme to landscape so that it will have the appear- ance of a beautiful pro�ect. Mr. Weeks added that there had been a great deal of concern about the trees, but the curb alignment was such that the trees could not be-saved. - � r � L � Specifications and call for bids - Uniform Rental and Laundry Service Mr. Fales referred to his report of April 20, 1978 attaching a report by the Director of Public Works dated April 18, regarding the subject specifications. Discussion followed regarding uniform colors, the concern of certain workers in the Parks and Recreation Department and others who work in the streets, and their desire to have a different color other than green to make them more visible, the fact that there have been discussions with the various departments involved regarding varying colors, and that once the bids are tn, this can be considered w�th the supplier MOTION. Title having been read, Councilman Norris introduced the ' following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Leipzig> its adoption RESOLUTION NO 8046 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR UNIFORM RENTAL AND LAUNDRY SERVICE, AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL fOR BIDS THEREFOR The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote _3- Reg.Mtg. 4/24/78 .
