-. � . � 65 <br /> ' RESOLUTION NO 8044 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF <br /> WATER METER PARTS, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS FOR <br /> THE FURNISHING THEREOF <br /> ' The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> E1 Camino Real Improvement Pro�ect - <br /> Phase 3 Program Supplement No 3 <br /> b <br /> City Manager fales referred to his report dated April 20, 1978, to <br /> which was attached a report of April 7 from the Director of Publ�c <br /> Works regarding the sub�ect improvement pro�ect and recommending <br /> approval of Program Supplement No. 3 to Local Agency-State Agreement <br /> No. 04-5029 <br /> MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Chandler introduced the <br /> following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Norris, its <br /> adoption. <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 8045 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT td0 3 BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RELATING A SIGNAL <br /> PROVEMENTS ON EL CAMINO REAL <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> Council indicated there had been inquiries concerning a number of <br /> ' trees on E1 Camino Real and whether anything can be done to mim mize <br /> their removal in connection with this pro�ect. Mr. Fales indicated <br /> in response that there had been discussions with the State, that it <br /> would be dtfficult to save the trees, but that ultimately there will <br /> be a reasonable scheme to landscape so that it will have the appear- <br /> ance of a beautiful pro�ect. Mr. Weeks added that there had been a <br /> great deal of concern about the trees, but the curb alignment <br /> was such that the trees could not be-saved. - <br /> � <br /> r � L � <br /> Specifications and call for bids - <br /> Uniform Rental and Laundry Service <br /> Mr. Fales referred to his report of April 20, 1978 attaching a report <br /> by the Director of Public Works dated April 18, regarding the subject <br /> specifications. Discussion followed regarding uniform colors, the <br /> concern of certain workers in the Parks and Recreation Department and <br /> others who work in the streets, and their desire to have a different <br /> color other than green to make them more visible, the fact that there <br /> have been discussions with the various departments involved regarding <br /> varying colors, and that once the bids are tn, this can be considered <br /> w�th the supplier <br /> MOTION.
