Nita Di Masi (see above) described recent developments in services offered at Fair Oaks and noted that a Clerk-Typist I is particularly needed Margaret Chapman, asked that persons speaking on matters relating to social services be requested to state whether they are employees or volunteers of any soc�al service agencies In response to Mrs. Chapman's statement, Mayor Barrett advised that Mrs Di Masi is employed by the University of California Extension Division in connection with programs at the Fair Oaks Center. Zuma Francis (see above) ob,7ected to the use of the Fair Oaks parking lot for purposes not related to the Center Mayor Barrett advised of adoption of RESOLUTION NO 8057 on May 8, 1978 adopting regulations relating to that parking lot �ntended to solve the problems being encountered there. Discussion took place and City Manager Fales and Park and Recrea- tion Dtrector Weeks commented and replied to question regarding the presently vacant position of Parks Manager, the duties and - responsibilities of that position, whether or not there is suf- ficient administrative personnel to handle the work of a parks manager, the loss to the department of operating without adequate management, and whether the department can continue to function and meet its ob�ectives without the parks manager position. PARK FACILITY MAINTENANCE SPECIAL EVENTS AND PROJECTS COMMUNITY LEISURE SERVICES In response to question regardtng the ob�ectives (p. 58), Mr. Weeks advised that any references to expanding programs is in re- ' sponse to the fact that there is greatly increased participation in the recreation programs and the department is merely trying to take care of the additional load rather than be forced to deny access to programs to residents who wish to participate in them.
