' (The Council recessed from E 35 to 8:45 p.m.) - Charter Review Committee recommendations re proposed Charter amendments , Mayor Leipzig invited Ray Weymouth, Chairman of the Charter Review Comm ttee, to present the Cortum ttee report. � Weymouth, Chairman of the Charter Rev�ew Cortom ttee, presented the Committee report of January 6, 1978. Mr. Weymouth noted that the recormnendations for proposed Charter amendments are for those changes which the Cortom ttee considered necessary, noting that many other prospect�ve changes were considered and re�ected by the Com- mittee. Mr. Weymouth thanked the members of the Cortom ttee and the C�ty staff which had assisted them. Mayor Leipzig thanked Mr. Weymouth and all of the members of the Charter Review Committee for their fine work on a difficult assign- ment. In response to question, City Clerk Hildebrand advised that the additional election cost for submitting the proposed Charter amend- ments to the electorate at the General Municipal Election to be , held April 11, 1978 would be approximately $14,000, mostly involving lengthy legal advertising and a larger voter's pamphlet.
