Fales, <br /> Jr., City Manager, regarding'the applications w,ith copies to the <br /> City Attorney and to Marine World-Africa USA, the applicant. <br /> Michael Demetrios President/General Manager, Marine World - Africa <br /> USA, 237 Polhemus Drive, Atherton, was sworn as a witness before , <br /> giving testimony. Mr. Demetrios presented his evidence in support <br /> of his request for an adjustment. <br /> Council discussion followed and Mr. Demetrios replied to questions <br /> concerning his application. <br /> Robert Stringer, 3631 Winding Creek Road, Sacramento, employed by <br /> Marshall & Stevens, Inc., Los Angeles, and testifying as a deputy <br /> of the Assessor of the District, was sworn as a witness and presented <br /> h�s evidence in support of the assessments. Mr. Stringer referred <br /> to Exhibit A(see above) and advised he will stipulate that the <br /> assessment on improvements contained in Parcel 095-040-130 should <br /> be reduced from assessed value of $843,625 to $715,625. <br /> Discussion followed and Mr. Stringer replied to questions from <br /> Council. Mr. Demetrious also replied to quest�on from Council re- <br /> garding his annual report. <br /> Mr. Stringer responded to questions from City Attorney Schricker <br /> regarding the distinctions between County and District appraisals, <br /> the reasons for assessing District property and the method used. <br /> In further response to Mr. Schricker, Mr. Stringer described his <br /> professional background. <br /> Mr. Stringer also replied to questions from City Manager Fales and ' <br /> to additional questions from Council regarding appraisals methods <br /> In response to question, City Clerk Hitdebrand advised that the <br /> applicant has requested Wr9tten Findings of Facts regarding Parcel <br /> 95-040-130 and has paid the $10 00 fee for such findings. <br /> (The Council recessed from 8.45 to 8•52 p.m.) <br /> MOTION: Councilman Barrett moved, seconded by Councilman Bury, that <br /> the Board of Equalization for GID No. 1-64 adopt the recorrenendations <br /> of the District Assessor regarding the assessment adjustment on <br /> Parcel 95-040-130 of Marine World-Africa USA. <br /> . <br /> � The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> (MINUTE ORDER N0. 76-110) <br /> City Attorney Schricker advised that he will prepare the proposed <br /> f9ndings regarding Parcel 95-040-130 as requested by the applicant <br /> and submit them to Council at a later date. , (memo 5/4/76) <br /> Ad�ournment � � <br /> MOTION: 'Councilman Bury moved, seconded by Councilman Biagi, that <br /> the Board of Equalization for General Improvement Distr�ct No. 1-64 ' <br /> ad,7ourn sine die. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> The Board of Equalizat�on ad�ourned at 8:55 p.m. <br /> � JACQUELINE C.
