Approval of Minutes - May 3, 1976 4 MOTION Councilman Bury moved, seconded by Councilman Norris, to ° approve the City Council Minutes of May 3, 1976 as submitted with the correction that on page 10 in the paragraph entitled "Announcements" that the Grand Jury dinner for the Board of Super- visors was a Candidates Night The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. Announcement � Mayor Leipzig advised that Doug Leith of the Building Department � has received the Meritorious Service Award from the United States Army for reserve military service Mayor Leipzig coimnended Mr. Leith for his achievement Resignation of Councilman Mary W Henderson City Clerk Hildebrand advised that a letter from Councilman Mary W. Henderson addressed to the City Counc�l had been received today submitting her resignation from the City Council effective this date, May 10, 1976, and that copies of the letter have been distri- , buted to each Council member. ._ MOTION Councilman Bury moved, seconded by Councilman Barrett, to '- � accept the resignation of Councilman Mary W Henderson with deep � regret and appreciation for her service to the Cortonu m ty ,+ The motion carried unanimously by voice vote - � (MINUTE ORDER NO 76-125) � Mayor Leipzig then declared a vacancy exists on the City Council and advised, that pursuant to Section 9 of the Charter, the vacancy shall be filled by appointment,within 60 days or a special election will be called for that purpose ' Marcia Poncia, 408 Alameda, suggested John J Brophy be considered for appointment to fill the Council vacancy Public Hearin - Pro osed amendment to the Zonin Ordtnance � relating to the establishment of a PF Public Facility District continued from 4/12 and 4/ 6/76 Mayor Leipzig d�clared open at 7 48 the sub�ect public hearing i -2- Reg Mtg.
