' <br /> Roll Call <br /> Councilmen present: Barrett, Biagi, Bury, Norris, Rhodes and , <br /> Mayor Leipzig <br /> Councilmen absent: None ' <br /> , y �` , <br /> Officials and staff present: City Manager Fales, Assistant City <br /> Manager Smith, City Controller Ference, City Clerk Hildebrand and <br /> Director of Public Works Pusich, Planning Director Schroeter, Parks <br /> and Recreation Director Weeks, Chief Building Official Ctyselbrecht, <br /> Director of Buildings and Transportation Balsamo, Deputy City Clerk <br /> Reggetts, Police Chief Bold, Fire Chief Keller <br /> � <br /> Recomnended Annual,Bud et - 1976-1977 <br /> continue rom May 8, 1976 ' <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of May 14, 1976 containing <br /> information in response to requests made at the Budget Study Session <br /> on May 8. <br /> It was decided that Council would proceed to consider the Budget in <br /> the order presented and return to items on which additional informa- � <br /> tion was requested later. <br /> ' l <br /> Police - Account No. 510 (pp. 46-48) <br /> Mr. Fales advised that the increase over 1975-76 is due to salaries <br /> and salary related items. � <br /> Reference was made to the cormnu m cations regard�ng the South San <br /> Mateo County Delinquency Diversion and Prevention Program trans- <br /> mitted by Larry Schenck, Executive Director, YMCA, with his letter <br /> of April 28, 1976 and referred to the Budget Stuc�y Session at the <br /> Council meeting of May 3 <br /> It was pointed out that the City is requested to share in the pro- <br /> ` gram intended to divert �uvenile offenders to a program of �ntensive <br /> counseling and other aetivities to be operated through the Sequo�a ' <br /> YMCA, with the bulk of`the funding for three years to come through <br /> a federal grant using Law Enforcement Assistance Administration <br /> funds.
