<br /> , would resume with addit�onal consideration of the Parking subprogram
<br /> � of Public Works Department budget, and that Council would ad�ourn
<br /> � the budget study session at 3 00 p m, at which•t�me interviews
<br /> ' would begin with candidates for appointment to a vacant term on the ,
<br /> City Council, expiring April 1978

<br /> Mr Fales referred to his report of May 21, 1976, to which were
<br /> , attached reports by the Director of Public Works dated April 20,
<br /> „ and by the City Controller dated May 19, which'summarized the request '
<br /> , for an amendment to this subprogram, to permit parking meter instal-
<br /> ;' lations in the Downtown area The report indicated that in order to
<br /> � institute the parking plan approved by Council on March 1, 1976,
<br /> � $41,808 will be required for the acquisttion and installation of the
<br /> � meters and made recommendations as to methods for financinq It was
<br /> ', therefore requested that Capital Expenditures of Account No. 780
<br /> be increased by $40,000 thu`s increasing the Parking Funds BaTance
<br /> � and increasing revenues from Parking Meters and Lots '
<br /> , �
<br /> MOTION Councilman Barrett moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes,
<br /> to approve the recommended amendments'as'outl�ned �n the above'report
<br /> regarding Account No �780
