Also referred to was his report of May 21 which provided addit�onal budget information as previously requested by Council concerning vacdncy status�af full time � positions Lengthy discussion followed, }n wh�ch the need was acknowledged for � the position of Fire Alarm Supervisor MOTION Counc7lman Barrett moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, to delete the position of Typist Clerk II from the Fire Protection budget. • On the question, Council commented on the necessity to reduce the � budget, the fact that this posit�on provides a service which relieves � administration of routine paperwork, handles coordination of public , inquiries, d'irecting them to the appropriate individual and the many i, other duties enumerated and that possibly the Adm7nistrative As5istant i would be the appropriate classification to be assigned these duties.
