4 ` � �C � , 7 ^ <br /> Public Heartng - Application to amend the Zoning Map to rezone <br /> ro ert located at 400 Mar�ne World Parkwa from <br /> CN Neighborhood Commercial District to R-3 Multi- <br /> Famil --Low Densit District Mobil Oil Estates <br /> Redwood Limited <br /> In response to inquiry of Mayor Leipzig, Deputy City Clerk Reggetts � <br /> adv�sed that affidavits of publication and matling are on file, and <br /> no written communications have been received <br /> Mayor Leipzig declared open at 7 37 p m. the sub�ect public hearing. <br /> City Manager Fales referred to the material furnished to Counci7 by <br /> the Planning Commission and Planning Department, and noted that the <br /> Planntng Director was present to respond to any quest�ons by Councll. <br /> Mr. Don Warren, representing Mobil Oil Estates (Redwood) Limited, <br /> advised that he was prepared to answer any questions relating to the <br /> rezoning application, and called attention to the findings of the <br /> Planning Commission in its action that rezoning will bring the site <br /> into conformance with the Special Area Plan for Redwood Peninsula <br /> and the Comprehensive General Plan for Redwood City, Mr Warren <br /> responded to questions by Council, indicating that the application <br /> is not inconsistent with the interest in providing sufficient <br /> commercial development in that area, describing the location of the <br /> property, ad�acent to the main entry intersection, and stating that <br /> commercial uses will be accommodated across from Marine World. He <br /> also advised that the site at present is filled to ultimate grade, <br /> so will not require fill permits from any agency other than the <br /> City, and some grading may be necessary prior to commencement of <br /> development <br /> MOTION Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman Barrett, � <br /> to close the public hearing. <br /> The motion carr�ed unanimously by voice vote <br /> The public hearing was closed at 7 45 p m. � <br /> , , � _ <br /> MOTION. Title having been read, Councilman Barrett introduced the <br /> following ordinance and moved, seconded by Councilman Norris, its <br /> approval for first reading <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 60 20 4 TO ORDINANCE NO 1130, THE <br /> REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE � <br /> VICINITY OF MARINE WORLD PARKWAY AND BRIDGE PARKWAY <br /> The ordinance was approved unanimously for first reading by roll <br /> call vote <br /> Councilman Norris reported a matter which he considered deserving of <br /> mention with reference to an area at the easterly end of Redwood <br /> Peninsula, which has served as a 9raveyard for old automobiles, and <br /> commended Mobil Oil Estates (Redwood) Limited for having cleared those <br /> away at its own expense <br /> , ' <br /> -2- , <br /> Reg.
