Mr. Fales advised that <br /> since a report must be made tomorrow to representative of the ' <br /> Institute, he would recortunend that Council take act�on by motion <br /> at this t�me and that if a formal resolution is required, it can <br /> be p'repared and presented to Council for adoption next week. <br /> Enthusiasm was expressed for use of the surplus State College site <br /> by the Institute for research with solar energy. <br /> MOTION Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, to <br /> waive the City's option to purchase the surplus State College site <br /> �n order that it may be utilized as the site for the California <br /> proposal for the locat�on of the National Solar Energy Research <br /> Institute. <br /> , „ <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> {MINUTE ORDER N0. 76-176) <br /> It was suggested that the City's support for use of the site by the ' <br /> California Solar Energy Research Institute be cortanunicated to <br /> Congressman Leo Ryan�in view of his posit�on as Chairman of the <br /> Subconenittee on Conservation, Energy and Natural Resources. <br /> � -5- � <br /> Reg.Mtg. � <br /> 6/14/76 � <br /> ' <br />
