City <br /> , Clerk Hildebrand reported the Affidavit of Publication of Notice of — <br /> Hearing is on file in her office ' <br /> Mayor Le�pzig invited anyone present who wished to speak on any part <br /> of the Annual Budget to do so. <br /> Fire Department <br /> Dave Cacciaroni, 2311 Hopkins Avenue, Redwood City fire- <br /> ftghter, spoke in opposition to the elimination of a ' <br /> position of Clerk Typist II from the Fire Department, <br /> suggesting the loss of the position would increase the <br /> burden on others in the Fire Department greatly. Mr. <br /> Cacciaroni asked how the workload of the Clerk would be <br /> handled <br /> Ken Margolies, representative of S E I U, Local 715, repre- <br /> senting the incumbent in the Clerk Typist II position which <br /> has been eliminated from the Fire Department, referred to <br /> the Alternat�ves part of the recommended Annual Budget for <br /> 1976-77, noting that it is stated that there are three <br /> positions in the Fire Department which could be eliminated, <br /> and suggested that since the Administrative Assistant 7n <br /> � the F�re Department was the one Assistant selected to be <br /> eliminated that the el7mination of the Clerk Typist II <br /> ' position also creates a work overload Mr Margolies <br /> , urged Council to reconsider the elimination of the position. <br /> Discussion followed concerning the need for some reorgani- <br /> zation in the Fire Depart�nt as a result of the elimination <br /> of the position and the Council decisions to eliminate one <br /> Administrative Assistant to be selected by the Manager <br /> o , and the Clerk Typist II in the Fire Department. <br /> -3- � <br /> � 1 <br /> Reg Mtg.
