Thurber urging the Council to uphold the decision of the Planning <br /> � Cortmission <br /> i <br /> i In response to questions from Council, Planner III Schoenfeld advised <br /> , that other lots in the sub�ect area have at least the minimum 50 feet <br /> f of frontage required, identified the areas which qualify as open space, <br /> cormnented on the amount of landscaping to be provided, observed that ' <br /> ; it might be possible to construct a smaller duplex than the one an- <br /> ticipated on the lot, but that the inadequate frontage would require <br /> , a variance, and advised that the Fire Department recommended a driveway <br /> width of 20 feet <br /> ; Frank_Guida, 1127 King Street, representing the appellant, referred <br /> to the Appeal letter of June 7 from Michael and Michele Lincoln, noting <br /> ! that in the fourth paragraph, the appellants suggest that changes which <br /> i they can make in the turnaround area will permit them to comply with <br /> � the open space requirements, and that the appeal is with regard to the <br /> variance on lot width only <br /> , Mr Fales pointed out that the Plamm �g Commission acted on a specific <br /> application for variances relating to open space and to lot width and <br /> , that the application is now before Council for consideration, noting <br /> that the changes proposed by Mr Guida as eliminating the need for a <br /> I variance relating to open space were not considered by the Planning <br /> � Commission, and are not part of the public hear�ng on the sub,7ect <br /> appeal <br /> ; <br /> I City Attorney Schricker confirmed the statement of the City Manager, <br /> � noting that it is admissible for Council to review rtrodifications, but <br /> � the inference is the Planning Commission actions were reasonable, if <br /> � it is now found that modifications can be made which might make the , <br /> , proposed plan conform to legal requirements Mr Schricker observed <br /> that the Planning Cormnission had to rule on the circumstances before <br /> , _p_ <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 7/12/76 <br /> ._ _�_y_.� <br />
