�3 <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 7571 t,OMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING EARL <br /> GEORGE CONRAD ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT <br /> RFSOLUTION �4 7572 COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING GILBERT <br /> PURCELL ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIRMENT <br /> ' RESOLUTION N0. 7573 CQMMENDING AP�D CONGRATULATING LANNIE <br /> WUTHRICH ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7574 COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING WILLIAM E <br /> CLARK N THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT <br /> The resolutions were adopted unanirtrously by roll call vote. <br /> Commendations <br /> Mayor Weymouth called attention to the letter addressed to him and <br /> other Council Members from Mayor Pete Wilson of San Diego, President <br /> of the League of California Cities, calling attention to the con- <br /> tribution made by City Manager Fales who served on the Advisory <br /> Committee on Administrative Ad�udication Mayor Weymouth noted <br /> that Mayor Wilson had observed that Mr. Fales' participation con- <br /> tributed greatly to the Corr�m ttee's success <br /> Mayor Weymouth also called attention to a letter from Phil Darnall <br /> of the Police Youth Club calling attent�on to honors won in recent <br /> Golden Glove Tournament by Leonel Valencia and Danny Sigala of <br /> Redwood City Mr Darnall had also noted that Head Boxing Coach <br /> Larry Martino of Redwood City has been nart�ed "Head Boxing Coach" <br /> , of the Pacific Association Team of the AAU which will go to Las <br /> Vegas for the National A A U. Championship in May. Mayor Weymouth <br /> offered the congratulations of the Council to Leonel Valencia, <br /> Danny Sigala and Larry Martino. <br /> Public Hearing - Vacation of a portion of Toyon Way <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of Marcn 4, 1976 <br /> attaching the March 1 report from the Director of Public Works <br /> regarding the sub�ect vacation <br /> Mayor Weymouth declared open at 7 46 p m the sub�ect public hearing. <br /> City Clerk Hildebrand reported that the Affidavit of Publication <br /> of Notice of Hearing is on file in her office, that no written <br /> communications have been received and that Affidavits of Post�ng <br /> of the property involved are also on file <br /> Hugo Vindal, o�vner of property at 805 Toyon Way, inquired as to <br /> whether the City intends to exchange City property with an indi- <br /> vidual to allow a turn around and whether the City plans to main- <br /> tain the �treet in the future in better condition than it now exists <br /> � City Manager Fales explained to Mr. Vindal that no City property <br /> is involved, that the intent of the vacation is to form a new cul <br /> de sac which �Hill permit realignment of the street right-of-way <br /> and better lot development, and that it is the policy of Council <br /> to maintain streets only after the residents have brought them <br /> up to City standards Mr. Fales explained further that at the <br /> -2- <br /> Reg Mtg <br /> 4/5/76 <br /> , <br />
