32� Mrs Hildebrand reported that there were eight candidates for four full four-year terms on the City Council and the total number of votes cast for each candidate is as follows Robert H Bury 4837 ' Bob Norris 4324 Mario Biagi 4230 Marguerite Leipzig 3693 • John J Brophy 2992 Marcia E Poncia 2375 Robert F Cawley 1923 Juan F Hernandez 1019 Mrs. Hildebrand declared that Robert H Bury, Bob Norris, Mario Biagi and Marguerite Leipzig having recetved the highest number of votes for the office of Councilman were thereby elected for the full term of four years each. MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Henderson introduced the following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, its adoption RESOLUTION N0. 7583 OF TNE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 13, 1976 (See pages 3, 4 and 5 for complete copy of resolution) ' Mayor Weymouth commented on the pleasure it has been to him to serve on the City Council for 17; years. Mayor Weymouth thanked Council members for selecting him to serve as Mayor during the past two years and also thanked the Council appointees, the members of Boards and Commissions, City staff, and all of the citizens who have supported him for their assistance and cooperation. Mayor Weymouth congratulated the successful candidates and offered his best wishes to the new City Council. Vice Mayor Williams expressed his pride in the role he has taken in the physical improvement of Redwood City during his five years as a Council member and also with regard to selection of personnel Vice Mayor Williams stated he had en�oyed his service on the Council and thanked all of those with whom he has worked during his term. MOTION Vice Mayor Williams moved, seconded by Councilman Leipzig, to ad�ourn sine die The motion carried unanimously by voice vote The Council ad�ourned sine die at 7 50 p m.
