32� <br /> Mrs Hildebrand reported that there were eight candidates for four <br /> full four-year terms on the City Council and the total number of <br /> votes cast for each candidate is as follows <br /> Robert H Bury 4837 <br /> ' Bob Norris 4324 <br /> Mario Biagi 4230 <br /> Marguerite Leipzig 3693 <br /> • John J Brophy 2992 <br /> Marcia E Poncia 2375 <br /> Robert F Cawley 1923 <br /> Juan F Hernandez 1019 <br /> Mrs. Hildebrand declared that Robert H Bury, Bob Norris, Mario <br /> Biagi and Marguerite Leipzig having recetved the highest number <br /> of votes for the office of Councilman were thereby elected for <br /> the full term of four years each. <br /> MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Henderson introduced <br /> the following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, <br /> its adoption <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 7583 OF TNE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF GENERAL <br /> MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 13, 1976 <br /> (See pages 3, 4 and 5 for complete copy of resolution) <br /> ' Mayor Weymouth commented on the pleasure it has been to him to <br /> serve on the City Council for 17; years. Mayor Weymouth thanked <br /> Council members for selecting him to serve as Mayor during the <br /> past two years and also thanked the Council appointees, the members <br /> of Boards and Commissions, City staff, and all of the citizens who <br /> have supported him for their assistance and cooperation. <br /> Mayor Weymouth congratulated the successful candidates and offered <br /> his best wishes to the new City Council. <br /> Vice Mayor Williams expressed his pride in the role he has taken <br /> in the physical improvement of Redwood City during his five years <br /> as a Council member and also with regard to selection of personnel <br /> Vice Mayor Williams stated he had en�oyed his service on the Council <br /> and thanked all of those with whom he has worked during his term. <br /> MOTION Vice Mayor Williams moved, seconded by Councilman Leipzig, <br /> to ad�ourn sine die <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote <br /> The Council ad�ourned sine die at 7 50 p m. <br /> ' <br /> , -2- <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 4/ 19/ 76 <br />
