The other bid from B rs, Rhodee was <br /> in tne amount of 40.00 in tne form of a check. Both are users of oity <br /> water and tiotri claim tnat the water originally ran through their property, <br /> • It wae the general conseneue that there was a gentleman's agreement with <br /> Mr, tum Suden and Councilman Granger moved; seconded by Councilman <br /> Armatrong, triat the original agreement with Mr, t Suden be continued <br /> subject to the condition of that agreement. Motion passed unanimouely, <br /> City Colleotor Miramontea asked that in tne agreement it be provided that <br /> payment be made in advance, Thie wae a reed upon, <br /> City Manager lom advised tnat the city has been paying for the 1lghts and gae , <br /> in tne old Library building because it ha.d been partlp occupied by the <br /> ' Reoreation Commission. He asked if tne city ehould continue paying these <br /> bille. It sras filt that inasmuch as the Red Croae was eoon to move into <br /> ita neee building, that tne aity enould continue to pay tnis bill for the <br /> remaining period. It wae ordered that the bill be paid from the general <br /> fund ratner than the recreation departarent fund, <br /> Oouncilman Anderson auggeated tnat in order to prenent recurrence of matters <br /> similar to the dancing school problem, that a large map of tne citq be <br /> kept and when tne Oouncil takes action on certain property the map be <br /> numbered so ihat subaequent councils will know tne prior counoil s actioa. <br /> Tnie suggeetion was met with favor, <br /> Councilman Armstrong aeked that the minutee of the council be reviewed for the <br /> ' perlod eince the beginning of the war to the preeent and a list made oP <br /> concessione the oouncil granted with the understanding that they would ter- <br /> minate at the end of tne war, <br /> Oouncllman Armatrong•moved, aeconded by ffouncilman Anderson, that City Manager <br /> Blom be allowed permieaion to leave the etate for a period of approximately <br /> ' two weeks commencing Deoember 22, 1945. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Claime No. 6246 to 6346 totalling the amount of 11,538.97 were approved and <br /> ordered paid on motion of Qounetlman McNulty, seconded by Oouncilman <br /> ,Andereon, Motion paesed unanimously. <br /> Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, that the meeting be <br /> adjourned, . <br /> • GE Cit lerk <br /> ` _ --- <br />
