He adviaed that Lhis aubdivieion � <br /> ie in tae eoutherly part of the Friendly Acres Tract and the city owns a <br /> piece of property 50 a 300 which was purcha.sed seneral years ago ae a site <br /> for a well. The well has been abandoned and tne equipment removed, He <br /> advised it would be neceasary to advertise the sale of this property. He <br /> aleo stated that tnere were certain things which the city wished in return <br /> for the sale of the property, one being an easement betaveen two of trie <br /> corner lots which will give access to the future posaible connection of the 1 <br /> Hetch Eietcny main and in connection witn the easement a emall area ehould <br /> be acqulred in rvhich a meter box and tool shed could be locat�ed for the <br /> maintenance of that line, He reaommended tnat he be authorized to go ahee.d <br /> witn the procedure. Motion pessed unanimously, <br /> City Manager Blom aleo advised that this eubdivider has asked that the citq � <br /> supply uvater to tnis auedivieion, It is quite a dietance from Reda�ood City <br /> and in a location where other water�companiee are furniehing sernice, how- <br /> ever, the city nad erntered into a contract with Howard Canine in.obtaining <br /> the easement on which this well wae located and agreed to furnieh water to <br /> anq property located on Spring Street whenever it ie requested, •.Tne city <br /> J agreed to pay �100 for the connection and tne property owner the balanoe of ' <br /> the cost of the eervice line, 7`he eity now has.a requeat wh3ch would <br /> , , <br /> necessitate running fi00 or 700 feet of line.
