Councilman � <br /> Britschgi oPfered resolution and moved ita adoption epproving mernorendum <br /> of agrei+ment for expenditure of 1/4 cent gas tax ellocated for State <br /> Highways and authorizing the city manager and city clerk to aign same <br /> on behalf of the city. The motion was seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br /> Under the question, Councilman Granger asked if it were up to tha City <br /> to see thet theae funds.were expended and that they weren�t taken away � <br /> from the citq�s allotment. City Manager Mead adviaed that this program <br /> does not effect the city�s allotment in eny way; that the funds for <br /> this profect come,from the first 1/4� gas tax, that of maintaining <br /> stete highways. On roll oall, the resolution was unanimously adopted <br /> with Councilman•Fletcher absent. <br /> City Manager Meed advised that the Federel Government had extended the <br /> agreement of Lanham Act Funds to SepteMber 36, 1945, and thut the city � <br /> was still �orking under the original project adopted in October, 1943. <br /> City Clerk Dodge read .the egreement. City Manager Mead advised that a <br /> reaolution had been forwarded by the Government with the agreement for <br /> adoption by the council. City Attorney McCarthy had checked it and <br /> advised that it was in order.
