The street <br /> ceork has not been done but there ie �2500 poeted for thia work, Couneilman <br /> Britschgi was of the opinion that inasmuch ae the money was deposited for <br /> the etreet work tne eubdivider ehould be forced to put in the etreet. Coun- <br /> cilman Granger believed it would be in order to refer the matter to the <br /> � aity Attorney to consult with Attorney 0'Keefe, who is the attorney 4a�the <br /> people ir�tituting the•suit against the subdivlder. It wae City Manager <br /> Blom�e opinion that �2500 mlght not cover the coet of the etreet avork. <br /> Oouncilman Britechgi moved, seconded by Oounoilman Fletoher, that the City <br /> Manager be instructed to ieview the matter to see what can be done to etart <br /> laying the street and sewers in tnis district and the Cfity Attorney be in- <br /> etructed to contact the attorney for the people in the diatriat who are <br /> instituting tne euit againet the subdivfder„ Motion passed unanimously. _ <br /> , 01ty Clerk Dodge asked if the Oouncll wished to send description of propoaed <br /> Charter amendmenter;with the sample ballots for the coming election. It <br /> was the general conaenaus.that thie sY�ould be done. It was also decided <br /> that material e�rnitted.againet the amendments ehould also be mailed with <br /> the sample ballots, Councilman Armstrong raoved, seconded by Councilman <br /> Granger, that a pamphlet describing the Charter amendments to be aubmit- <br /> ted to Lhe�..eotera at the April election be sent out with eample ba.I.lots <br /> • and also any pamphlet ags.ina� euch amendmente. Motion passed unanimouslp. <br /> Counoilraan Granger offered resolution of preliminary intention conering improve- <br /> ments at Jefferson, Qua,rtz, Vera and Taft 9treete,.seconded by Councilmars <br /> Britschgi. On roll:oall, resolution was unanimouslq adopted. City Attorney <br /> McCarthq adked if the Council wiahed indlvidual notices sent to property <br /> ' owners in regard to the above improvements. Councilman Britachgi moved, <br /> seconded by Councilman Anderaon, that the property ownere be notified by <br /> poet card notices. Motion passed unanimously, <br /> R 3 0 L U T I 0 N No. 289 <br /> ' RESOI;UTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION TO MAKE PIIBLIC I�dPROVEMENTB. <br /> RESOLYED by the,Council of the City of Redwood City, California, that <br /> it does hereby preliminarily determine that public convenience and neceseity <br /> require, and that it intends to order the Yollowing work to be done and im- <br /> provements to be made in and Por said City,:to-wit: <br /> 1.
