<br /> - is developed. There was some dlscuesion as to how the tract was to be
<br /> built,'it being the opinion of several of the councilmen that it +aas to be
<br /> developed bloclt by block, Mr. 9Verder stated that it had not been agreed to '
<br /> build block by block but that�it had been underetood that there would be
<br /> no scattered building and that it would be a comprenensive development.
<br /> Councilman Granger was of the opinion that the agreement had been to
<br /> bring the water line to the property line and extend the maine as conetruc-
<br /> tion progressed. Councilman Andereon cnanged his reeolution to read that �
<br /> trie city would agree to extend the water mian to the Carson and Monckton
<br /> � Tract and extend the water linea aa conetruction progresaee, seconded by ,�
<br /> Councilman,Fletcner, Motion passed unanimouely. Under the queetion,
<br /> Councilman Granger expressed the opinion that tns tract would be
<br /> under the same provisione as an indinldual water uaer. Mr, VPerder agreed

<br /> there was to be no spot building, that lots could not be held for specula-
<br /> tine purposes but that it was definitely a building pro�ect, On�roll call ,

<br /> INSTALLATION OF WATEI�AIN3 TO OAASOA-MONCKTON TRACT
<br /> PiHEREAB, the City Council of the City of Redwood Oity, concurrently
<br /> with the annexation to said City of the property generally known as tha
<br /> Carson-Monckton Tract, assured Land Development Company, ae the owner there-
<br /> of, triat, in view of the aseurance given by,said corporation and the officera
<br /> thereof that, upon the approval and filing of mape oY portiona of eaid
<br /> tract, eaid corporation would proceed as expeditiouslq as feaeible with the
<br /> conetruction of homea and other buildings, lot by lot and block by block •
<br /> within the area shown by each euch map, the City of Redwood City would,
<br /> without expense to the own�r of eaid property, extend watermaine of said
<br /> City, as to whicn no reaord hae heretofore been made in the minutes of thie

<br /> RE30LVED, that the City oP Redwood City will inetall, without cost to
<br /> the, owner of property shown on any map of a subdi'vision oY said Carson-

<br /> on any auch map. '
<br /> Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a
<br /> regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of March, 1946, by the follow-
