<br /> Aitorney McCarthy read the specifications and adviaed that the cost of the �
<br /> �
<br /> improvements would be taken from different funds, some of it being taken '�
<br /> from gas tax funds, City Manager Blom advised that the approximate coat to
<br /> different blocka could be given to the property owners. It was decided that '
<br /> tne newspaper be asked to furnieh suYficient copies so that each property
<br /> owner could be sent one and that tYie estimated cost be furnished the pro-
<br /> perty ovrriers. If possible, it was decided that the public hearing should
<br /> be held at the next meetfng, On roll call, the resolution passed unanimously '
<br /> with Councilman Fletcher absent.

<br /> RE30LUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERhdINATION TO MAKE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS IN
<br /> HUDSON 3TREET FROM JEFFER90P1 AVENU� TO VlOODBIDE ROADr
<br /> RESOLVED by trie Council of the City of Redwood City, California, t2iat
<br /> it does hereby preliminarily determine that public convenience and neceesity •
<br /> require, and that it intende to order the following work to be done and im-
<br /> provements to be made in and for said City, to-wit:
<br /> 1. Tne conatruction of improvements on streets, all ae particularly
<br /> described in Exhibit A riereto attached and made a part nereof by reFerence.
<br /> 2, All of said work and improvements are to be conetructed at tne
<br /> places and in the particular locations,�of trie fdrms, aizea, dimensions and
<br /> materials, and to the lines and grades and elenations as to be showm and de-
<br /> lineated upon tne plans, profilea and epecifications to be made therefor and
<br /> , adopted by the City Qouncil of said Ciiy.
<br /> ` 3. Tne cosi of said work and improvements shall be assesaed againet a,
<br /> district whicn ie particularly described in Exhibit B attached hereto and
<br /> made a part hereof, whicri diatrict and the property therein said aouncil '�
<br /> does nereby determine and declare will be benefitted by said work and im-
<br /> provements, all in accordance with Article II of Ordinance No, 333 of said
<br /> City,
<br /> 4. Notice is hereby given that 3erial Bonds to repreeent the unpaid
<br /> aeseasmente and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed five (5°�} per
<br /> cent per annum will be issued pursuant to Article I, Section 3 and 3ection .
<br /> b of Ordinance No. 333 of safd City, commonly known and designated as
<br /> °Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance" adopted March 14, 1932, as `
<br /> amenaed, the last in$tallment of arhien bonde shall mature nine (9} jrears

<br /> 5. Except as herein otherwise provided for tne iaeuance of bonde, all �
<br /> of the above proposed work shall oe done in pursuance of the provisione
<br /> oY Article I of said Redwood City improvement Procedure Ordinance.
<br /> 6. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 15th day oP April, 1946,
<br /> at the nour of eight o'clock P.M., at the Council Chambera of the City
<br /> Council of eaid City in the C1ty Ha11 of said City are hereby fixed as the
<br /> time and place when and where any and all person interested may appear and
<br /> ahow cause, if any they have, why th@ Citp Council ehould not find and
<br /> determine that the public convenience and necessity require tne improve- �
<br /> ments described and referred to in tnis reaolution, without further com-
<br /> pliance with the 3pecial Asseaement Investigation, Limitation and Majority
<br /> Protest Act.of 1931,
<br /> '7. The City Clerk snall give notice of tne adoption of thie resolution
<br /> by publlshing a Notice of Proposed Local Improvement once in the Redwood
<br /> City Tribune, a daily newepaper, published and circulated in eaid City, and
<br /> by posting same on or near the Council Chamber door of said Council, said
<br /> posting and publication to be haci at least ten days before eaid date of '
<br /> hearing. �
