<br /> ' filing of affidavit of notice of publication of ordinance. P�otion passed
<br /> unanimously, There were no protestants to the change of setback lines of
<br /> ' Lot 1, Block 9, Redwood Highlands.
<br /> Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman �lerder, adoption of or-
<br /> dinance cnanging setback lines of Lot l, Block 9, Red�ood Highlands. On
<br /> roll call ordinance was unanimously adopted.
<br /> In regard to public nearing on proposed improve;nents to Center, Park, �adrone,
<br /> Mcr,voy and Hess Road, Acting Cit,y Engineer Ra.ndlett reported that cards had
<br /> been sent out to property owners advieing of the hearing. TYiere had been
<br /> some difficulty in contacting the owners, and in checking vrith the title
<br /> • company, it had been discovered�that the owners were not owners of record,
<br /> 80 replied to over 100 cards sent out. The result was almost two to one in
<br /> favor,of tne imnrovemente, On a front foota�e baeis, 28% were in favor of
<br /> the improvements and 15% against. Tne results had been tabulated according
<br /> to streets. City Manager Blom recommended procedure be instituted for the
<br /> entire project except Aess F�oad, which failed to approve the improvemente
<br /> on the post card vote. Councilman Britschgi offered resolution of prelimi-
<br /> , nary determination to make public improvements in Redtivood Villa Park, sec-
<br /> , onded by Councilman tkerder. Resolution carried unanimously on roll call,
<br /> Councilman Britachgi moved, seconded by Councilman 47erder, that City Mana-
<br /> ger Blom be authorized to engage an outside engineering firm to prepare
<br /> plans and specifications. Motion oassed unanimously.

<br /> RE$OLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERiv4INATION TO MAKE PLP3LIC IMPR0
<br /> � IN REDWOOD VILLA PARK '
<br /> RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Red�vood City, California, that
<br /> it does hereby preliminarily deterraine that public convenience and neceseity
<br /> require, and that it intends to order the following work to be done and
<br /> improvements to be made in and for sa,id City, to-wit:
<br /> 1. The construction oi improvements on streets, all as particularly
<br /> described in Exnibit A hereto attached and made a part hereof by reference.
<br /> ' 2. All of said work and in�provements are to be constructed.at the
<br /> places and in the particular locations of the forms, sizes, dimensions and
<br /> materials, and to the lines and grades and elevations as to be shown and
<br /> delineated upon tne plans, profiles and specifications to be made therefor
<br /> and adopted by the City Council of said City.
<br /> 3. The cost of said avork and improvementa shall be aesesaed againat
<br /> a diatrict whicn is particularly described in Exhibit B attached hereto
<br /> and made a part hereof, which district and the property therein said Coun-
<br /> 1 cil does nereby determine and declare will be benefitted by said work and
<br /> 1!nprovements, all in accordance witn Article I of Ordinance No. 333 of
<br /> said City.
<br /> 4. Notice is hereby given that Serial Bonds to represent the unpaid
<br /> assessmente and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed five (5°Jo) per
<br /> cent per annurn r�ill be issued purauant to Article I, Section 3 and Section
<br /> 5 of Ordinance No. 333 of said City, commonly known and designa.ted as
<br /> "Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordina.nce" adopted Pdarch 14, 1932, as
<br /> amended, the last imstal3ment of which bonds shall mature nine (°) years
<br /> from the second day of January next succeeding October fifteent.h=follow-
<br /> � ing their date.
