<br /> � 1. The construction of improvements in Sapphire Street between Jef-
<br /> ferson and James Avenues and in T.aft Street between Vera and Roosevelt
<br /> � Avenues, and in Ruby Street between Jefferson and Vera A�enues, by grading
<br /> and constructing n incri waterbound macadam ba.�e and 1-1/2 inch asphalt top
<br /> �avement, combined concrete cement curbs a.nd gutters, and 4 inch cement
<br /> concrete sidewa.lks 5 feet rovide in each of' sa.id streets; also constructing
<br /> a bridge in Sapphire Street a.cross the creek traversing sa.id street and con-
<br /> structing a bridge in Taft Street across tne creek traversing said street,
<br /> ' also the paving as hereinabove described of tne intersection of Sapphire
<br /> Street raitn James Avenue, and the paving of the intersection of Taft Street
<br /> vaith Vera Avenue, and the paving of the intersections of Ruby Street with
<br /> ��Radison Avenue and Vera Avenue.
<br /> 2, All of said work and improvements are to be constructed at the
<br /> places and in the particular locations, of ihe forms, sizea, dimensions
<br /> and materials, and to the lines and grades and elevations as to be shocvn
<br /> ' and delineated upon tne plans, profiles and speci£ications to Ue made there-
<br /> fore and adopted by the City Council of said City,
<br /> 3. Excepting as hereinafter sta,ted, the cost of said work and improve-
<br /> ments snall be assessed against property abutting the portions of said
<br /> etreets vrhere said wor� and improvements are to be consiructed, proportion-
<br /> ate to the front footage of such property thereon, with an adjustment for
<br /> . corner lots; as an exception thereto, the cost of tlie construction of sa.id
<br /> bridges on Sapphire Street and Taft 3treet is, in the opinion of said City
<br /> Council of more than local or ordin�ry puolic benefit, and said Council
<br /> does hereby deterrnine that the cost and expense thereof shall be cnargeable
<br /> against a. district, which district said council declares to be the dietrict
<br /> � benefi�.ted by said tivork and improvements, to-wit: the construction of said
<br /> bridges and that the cost thereof shall be assessed against property tivithin
<br /> sucn assessment district, the exterior boundaries of which are particularly
<br /> described in Exhibit A nereto attached and made a part hereof by reference, �
<br /> in aecordance with Article II of Ordinance No. 333 of said City.
<br /> 4. Notice ie hereby given tnat serial Bonds to represent the unpaid
<br /> assessments and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed five (5%) per
<br /> cent per annum will be iesued pursua.nt to Article I, Section 3 and Section
<br /> 3 and Section 5 of Ordinance Iv'o. 333 of said City, Commonly known and
<br /> designated as "Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance" adopted March
<br /> 14, 1932, as amended, the last installment of which bonds shall mature
<br /> nine (9) years from tne second day of January next succeeding October
<br /> , fifteentn follor�ing their date.
<br /> 5. Except as herein otherwise provided for the issuance of bonds,
<br /> all of the aoove proposed work shall be done in pursuance of the provisions
<br /> of Article I of said Redtivood City Improve!nent Procedure Ordinance.
<br /> 6. Notice is hereby given that �ionday the 20th day of May, 1946, at
<br /> tlze hour of eight o'clock P.Pd. at the Council Chamoers of the City Council
<br /> of' said City in the City Hali'of said City are nereby fixed ae the time
<br /> and place when and where any and all persons interested may appear and
<br /> shovr cause, if any t�ey have, why the City.Council should not find and
<br /> determine that the public convenience and necessity require the improve-
<br /> ments desorioed and referred to in this resolution, without further com-
<br /> pliance vaith the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and �ajority
<br /> Protest Act of 1931.
<br /> � 7. The Cit}� Clerk snall give notice of the adoption of' this resolu-
<br /> tion by publishing a Notice of Proposed Local Improvement once in the
<br /> Red�vood City Tribune, a daily ne�vspaper, published and circulaied in eaid
<br /> City, and by posting saane on or near the Council Cnamber door of said
<br /> Council, said Posting and publication to be had at least ten days before
<br /> said da.te of hearing,
