Excepting as hereinafter sta,ted, the cost of said work and improve- <br /> ments snall be assessed against property abutting the portions of said <br /> etreets vrhere said wor� and improvements are to be consiructed, proportion- <br /> ate to the front footage of such property thereon, with an adjustment for <br /> . corner lots; as an exception thereto, the cost of tlie construction of sa.id <br /> bridges on Sapphire Street and Taft 3treet is, in the opinion of said City <br /> Council of more than local or ordin�ry puolic benefit, and said Council <br /> does hereby deterrnine that the cost and expense thereof shall be cnargeable <br /> against a. district, which district said council declares to be the dietrict <br /> � benefi�.ted by said tivork and improvements, to-wit: the construction of said <br /> bridges and that the cost thereof shall be assessed against property tivithin <br /> sucn assessment district, the exterior boundaries of which are particularly <br /> described in Exhibit A nereto attached and made a part hereof by reference, � <br /> in aecordance with Article II of Ordinance No. 333 of said City. <br /> 4. Notice ie hereby given tnat serial Bonds to represent the unpaid <br /> assessments and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed five (5%) per <br /> cent per annum will be iesued pursua.nt to Article I, Section 3 and Section <br /> 3 and Section 5 of Ordinance Iv'o. 333 of said City, Commonly known and <br /> designated as "Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance" adopted March <br /> 14, 1932, as amended, the last installment of which bonds shall mature <br /> nine (9) years from tne second day of January next succeeding October <br /> , fifteentn follor�ing their date. <br /> 5.
