Coun- <br /> n <br /> , cilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, tha.t the recommen- <br /> dation of the Planning Comraission be accepted, Motion passed unanimouely, <br /> Communication was received from City Manager E. '+7. Blom recomraendir.g that a <br /> thirty day vacation be granted to Fire Chief M. E. Ryan vano is retiring <br /> n rom city service after thirty years service and who had taken no vacation <br /> , since 1941. Counci�Iman „�erder moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, tha.t <br /> ���'�� the recommendation of the City Manager be accepted, Motion passed unani-• <br /> mously. <br /> Communication was received from City Ma,na.�er Blom advising tha.t an inouiry had <br /> been received as to Mhether the city would be willing to dispose of the <br /> � .band uniforms formerly used by the Aqunicipal 3and. An inventory of the <br /> instruments also in storage �vas attached to the letter. It was the City <br /> Manager�s recommendation that permission oe gr�.nted to advertise the uni- <br /> forms for sale and that the Council give consideration to the possibility <br /> of keeping ihe instrun:ents for future use. Councilman Armstrong moved, <br /> seconded by Councilma.n Gra.nger, that the City Manager be authorized to <br /> � offer the band uniforms for sale. Motion passed unanimotsly. <br /> � Communication ivas received from City Manager Plom advieing of regional confer- <br /> ence of tne Civil Service Assembly to be held in Sacra�nento on r�Iay 20,21, <br /> and 22, and requesting approval of the Council to send Jane Meaci to Sac- <br /> ramento for the last two days of the conference. Councilman Britschgi <br /> moved, seconded by Councilman 6Perder, tha.t the request be granted, Motion <br /> passed unanimously. <br /> Communication was received from City r.9a.na.ger E. Vl, Blom advising that it would <br /> . be necessary to provide office sp�ce and ee,uiprnent for the offiee of the <br /> police judge in the City Hall. The total estimated cost was :�1350, for <br /> which funds are �,vailable in the unbudgeted reserve. Councilman Gra.nger <br /> . o£fere"d resolution and moved its adoption transferring �1350 from the un- <br /> budgeted reserve to the police judge account to pay for office space, <br /> r� • <br /> , furniture and equipment.
