<br /> Discussion wvas held in regard to the recommendation of the Planning Commiesion
<br /> to change Hroadway and L4ain Streets to Fire Zone No. 1. A letter from the
<br /> Planning Commission was read by the City Clerk. Some discuseion was held
<br /> in regard to the irregular which City Manager Hlom asvised was neceseary
<br /> because of the debth of Lots. Councilman Swift moved, seconded by Council-
<br /> ma.n Granger, that the recornmendation of the Planning Commission be accepted
<br /> a,nd an ordinance be drafted incorporr�ting such changes. ?dotion passed •
<br /> una,ni�i�ously.
<br /> In regard to the ordin�.nce prohibiting quonset huts and prefabricated houses,
<br /> City Attorney t�cCa.rthy advised ne had contacted the City of Sa.n Jose to see
<br /> if they nad a similar ordinance out that they �ad none. He also had con-
<br /> tacted Mr. Ca,rpenter of the League of' California Cities but had not yet '
<br /> heard from him. Councilma.n Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman �"rerder,
<br /> tha.t the matter be carried on the agenda. Motion passed unanimously,
<br /> Councilman 3ritschgi moved, seconded by Councilman 2�4cNulty, filing of affidavit
<br /> of Jane 1?ead of postin� copy of arnendment to rules of personnel administra- 1
<br /> tion. Motion passed unanimously.

<br /> personnel administration, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. On roll call,
<br /> resolution was unanimously adopted.
