Roae, chairman of the Recreation Commieeion, appeared before the � <br /> Oouncil advising that he had addressed a letter to the C1ty Manager aeking <br /> that consideration be given to selling eome of the bonda noted upon at the <br /> last election so tuat the Recreation program could be begun, He also announ- <br /> ced tnat he had in h1e poeeession a deed from Daniel R, Stafford, a former <br /> mayor of Redwood City, to several lote on Hopkine 8treete which Mr. 9taFPord <br /> wae donating to the city for recreational purpoeee. He a.dvised that the <br /> gift was contingent upon the property being put to use for recreational act�v- � <br /> itiee. Oity Manager Blom advised that the Recreation Commiesion had asked <br /> triat a Quoneet Hut be erected on Hawes Park, however, he wae a little doubtful <br /> ae to tue deairability of this type of building. He advised that he could <br /> have a figure as to tne cost of some other type of building by the neat meet- <br /> ing of the Oouncil, <br /> A Mr. Younger appeared on behalf of Williasn A, Delaney requesting a permit for the <br /> erection of a stable to house three or more horses within the city limits at � <br /> the corner of 9alota and Woodeide Roads. Ae adviaed it was not to be a com- <br /> mercial enterprise. It wae tne opinion of City Attorney MeCarthy that.the <br /> only restriction to granting tne permit was subject to the inepection of the <br /> health department. Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman <br /> Hritschgi, that the permit be granted subject to the approval of the health <br /> department, Under the question, Councilman Granger asked where the etable � <br /> . was to be loca.ted on the property.
