He believed that for the safety of the citizens oP the community it ' <br /> was imperative that thia position be establiehed. . <br /> Councilman Britachgi offered introduction of ordinance amending Ordinance No. <br /> 371, seconded by Councilman McNulty. Under�the question, City Attorney Mc <br /> fl�rthy explained that the ordinance prohibited the eolicitation of Yunds <br /> for charity drivee unless approved by a coramittee. There wae eome discue- � <br /> eion in regard to the word "charity" and it wae agreed to delete this word <br /> from the ordinance. With the above deletion, the motion paesed unanimously. <br /> Mr. John Ayan appeared before the Counoil request of Mayor Hilton, and advised <br /> . that the Underpase Committee hae been attempting to reach a solution to the <br /> problem of an underpase and hoped to be able to make a reommendation soon. <br /> Councilman Armetrong moved, seconded by Oouncilman McNulty, filin� of affidavit <br /> of public,hearing in re�ard to public improvemente on Grand and Lincoln , <br /> Streets.
