HILTON ' <br /> Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br /> Gi.ty, Ma.nager Blom advised that all the building inspectors in the oounty and citiea <br /> of the County had concurred in a recommendation to permit the use of galvan- ^ <br /> ized iron pipe for first floor wastes in place of cast iron pipe due to lack <br /> of such material. He read a letter Yrom Building Inspector Duncan concurring <br /> in this recommendation. It was the recommendation of the City Manager that <br /> the above variance of the pl�bing code be permitted until the proper material <br /> is available or until October 1, 1945. Councilman Werder moved, seconded by � <br /> Councilman Britechgi, that the City Manager's recommendation be approved. <br /> Upon the advice of the City Attorney, Councilman R'erder with the consent of the <br /> second, withdrew his motion and introduced a temporary amendment to Sectlon <br /> 539, of the building ordinance, effective until October 1, 1946, seconded by <br /> Councilman Britschgi. Motion passed unanimously. ' <br /> Petition was presented for sewera on Valota Road from Hampton Court to �Yoodside <br /> Road. City Manager Blom adnised that at the last meeting of the Council a <br /> petition had been presented to inetall sewers:on Valota Road north of Hampton' <br /> Court and thia petition pronided for the rest of Valot� Road. 3ixty per <br /> cent of the fr.ontage is represented in the petition. He�advised that this ' <br /> project could be added to the first petition. Councilman Armetrong moved, <br /> seconded by Councilman Werder, that the City Engineer prepare plans and <br /> epecifications Yor the installation of sewers on Valota Road from Hampton <br /> Court to Woodeide Road, the work to be done concurrently avith that on <br /> Valota Road north of Hampton Court.
