<br /> ' orized to advertise for.sale portions of Lote 11, 12, and 13, Block 1, 19allace
<br /> 8ubdivision. Motion passed unanimously.
<br /> City Manager Blom reported that in•regard the consideration of the purchase of
<br /> a lot_on_Lincoln Avenue he would recommend againat auch a purchase, No
<br /> , action was taken by the Council.
<br /> ' Communication wae receined from the �eneington 9qua,re Sanitary Board advising that
<br /> the Board granted the request of P. J. Murphy for permiseion to connect Lots
<br /> 2 and 3, Hlock 1, Reneington Square Tract to the Keneington 8quare Sanitary
<br /> ,�
<br /> Diatrict. Councilman Werder asked if the district was large enough to handle
<br /> the additional connection. City Manager Blom e.dvised that the dietrict
<br /> could not be enlarged unlese the city gave its approval and he did not be-
<br /> � bieve that the district had the capacity to take care of any more eewere. It
<br /> was his recommendation that a sewer eervice charge ordinance be drafted to
<br /> cover a sewer charge inside the city, a charge for residential use outside
<br /> the city and a charge, against industrial usere and that the ordinance be made
<br /> effective immediately on property outside of the city. It was decided to
<br /> table the matter of the Hensington Square Sanitary District�s request and the
<br /> , � City Manager.wae inetructed to prepare an ordinance oovering sewer eervioe
<br /> charges.
<br /> Citq Manager Blom presented,specifications for an oil distributor for oil patching
<br /> repair work. He advised that provision had been made in the preliminary
<br /> budget for this purchase but that no formal action had been taken insofar as
<br /> the final budget was concerned. This piece of equipment is badly needad and
<br /> �
<br /> delivery could be obtained almoat immediately. The eatimated cost is approai-
<br /> mately $1600. He asked to be granted authority to advertise for bide for
<br /> • thie piece of equipment. Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman
<br /> Granger, that the City Manager be authorized to advertise for blds for an oil
<br /> distributor. Motion paesed unanimously.
<br /> Councilman Werder offered for adoption resolution authorizing the City Manager to
<br /> file application for state surplus Yunde. On roll call, reaolution was
<br /> ' unanimously adopted.

<br /> counties, citiea and counties, or cities, so that they may,engage in a large
<br /> public works construction program in order to prevent and alleniate unem-
<br /> ployment; and
<br /> YPHEREAB, the City of Redwood City, California, hereinaFter designated
<br /> "Local Agency" desires to apply for an allotment of State aid for the�con-
<br /> struction of a public works project under said Aot; and
