<br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENTION No. 1946-2 �

<br /> RE80LVED, by Council of the bity of Redwood City, State of California, �
<br /> that in the opinion of said Council, public intereat and convenience require, �
<br /> and it is the intention of said Council to order the following work to be done
<br /> and improvementa to be made in said City of Redwood City, to-wit:
<br /> That the following etreeta and avenues be improved: '
<br /> a. C�uartz Street between Madison and Vera Avenues;
<br /> b. Rubq.Street between Jefferao,n a.nd Vera Avenues;
<br /> c. 3apphire Street between James and Vera Avenuee;
<br /> d. Topaz Street between Jefferson and Vera Avenuee;
<br /> e. Madieon Avenue between Qua,rtz 3treet and the southwesterly City line.
<br /> Y. Vera Avenue between Valota Road and the southwesterly City line.
<br /> g, Taft Street between Vera and Roosevelt Avenues;
<br /> h, 911 intersectione of said streeta and avenues excepting the inter- ,
<br /> section of Qua.rtz 8treet and Madison Avenue and the intersections of
<br /> cross streets with Jefferson Avenue;
<br /> j.) A storm drain atructure in 3apphire Atreet acro'se the creek travers-
<br /> in� said street bet�eeen JefYerson and James Avenuea; ,�
<br /> k.) A storm drain structure in Raft 3treet aaross the creek traversing
<br /> said street between Vera anii Rooaevelt Avenues;
<br /> m,�) The acquisition of property for the opening of Vera Avenue between
<br /> Ruby Street and a,point thereon approximately,114 feet aouthwesterly
<br /> from the southwesterly line of Junipero Street;
<br /> That the improvemente and work to be done in said streets and avenuee is �
<br /> particularly described ae follows: The grading of all streets hereinabove
<br /> mentioned and the constructfon of a 6 inah waterbound macadam base and 1-1/2
<br /> inch asphaltic top pavement, aombined concrete cement curbe and guttere on
<br /> each side of each street, and 4 inch concrete cement sidewalks 5 feet wide
<br /> along each aide of each street.
<br /> All the work and improvements provided for herein sha11 be done and made
<br /> to the grades ae shown on the plane, profiles and detailed drawinge, which
<br /> grades'are hereby adopted as the official grades for said work and improve-
<br /> ments, and reYerence is hereby made to said plans, profiles and detailed
<br /> drawings for a description of the grades at which said work is to be done and
<br /> eaid improvements are to be made, and the same are hereby'made a part hereof;
<br /> � All the work and improvemente hereinabove deacribed are to be done and '
<br /> made at the locatione and positions and of the sizes and dimensions and of the
<br /> materials as shown and described on said �lane, profiles, detailed drawings
<br /> and specifications adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the
<br /> lst day of July, 1946, and now on file 1n the office of the Clerk of said City,
<br /> to whieh plans, profiles and detailed drawinga and specifications reference
<br /> is hereby made for a complete description and location of said work and im-
<br /> provements and for further particulars, and the same are hereby made a part
<br /> hereof by reference;
<br /> Said Council of eaid City does hereby determine and declare�that the
<br /> foregoing vrork and improvements are of more than local or ordinary public
<br /> benefit and will affect and benefit the lande and diatrict hereinafter men-
<br /> tioned, which said diatrict is hereby declared to be the diatrict benefitted
<br /> by aaid work and improvementa, that therefore the entire cost and expensea oY �
<br /> said work and improvements shall be and they are,hereby made chargeable
<br /> against and shall be.assessed upon said lands and dietrict, whlch district is
<br /> wholly within the limits of eaid City of Redwood City, eaid State and said
<br /> diatrict is described and shown on a certain map or plat entitled "Map
<br /> Show3ng Aesessment District Under Resolution of Intention 1946-2" avhich map
<br /> or plat was adopted and approved by said Council of eaid City on the flret day
<br /> of July, 1946, and is now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City, and
<br /> to which map or plat reference is hereby made for an accurate and complete
<br /> description and location of said assessment dietrict, and the same is made a
<br /> pa.rt hereof by reference; piovided, however that all street, avenues and por- '
<br /> tions thereof included within said assessment district and ahown on eaid map
<br /> or plat thereof shall be omitted from any assessment levied for the coet and
<br /> expenses of said work, said streets and avenuee and portiona thereof now
<br /> being in public use as public etreete and avenues.
<br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, and said Council of said City does determine
<br /> that serial bond bearing interest at the rate of five per cent per annum
<br /> from their date shall be issued ae provided in Seotion 5 of Article I of ,
<br /> Ordinanoe No. 333.of said Citq of Redwood City, commonly known as "Redwood 1
<br /> City Impronement Procedure Ordinance" as emended, to repreeent eaCh aasese-
<br /> ment of Twenty-Five Dollare ($25.00) or over for the cost and expenaes of
<br /> said work and improvements. Said bonds shall extend from their date over a
<br /> period of nine (9) yeara from the aecond day of January next succeeding the
<br /> fifteenth day of the next November following their date. All work provided
<br /> for herein ehall be done as provided in Section 3 of Article I of said
<br /> Ordinance No, 333 ae amended, which ordinance wae passed and adobted by the
<br /> Council of the City of Redwood City on the 14th day of March, 1932 and is
<br /> now of record and on file in the office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood
<br /> City and to which reference is hereby made and the same is made a part here-
<br /> of by reference. •
