<br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR ALLOTMENT OF PORTION OF COST OF
<br /> t PREPARING�PLAN3 OF 3EWAGE TREATMENT AND DI9POSAL PLANT.
<br /> 1. �7HEREAS, the 3tate of Callfornia under Cha.pter 47, 3tatutes of 1944,
<br /> (4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of
<br /> Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as
<br /> counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to
<br /> exceed one-half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering
<br /> oi architectural designe, and working and detailed drawings and specifica-
<br /> tione (hereinafter called "Plans") required for postwar public worka projects
<br /> deacribed as "specific projects" in sald Act; and
<br /> 2. 67HEREA3, the City of Redwood City, hereinafter designated ae "Local
<br /> Agency", desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War
<br /> Public tiYorks Review Board, as the case may be, for an allotment of the 3tate's
<br /> ' share of the estimated cost of preparing the completed plane hereinafter �
<br /> mentioned and there has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body
<br /> for consideration an application for such purpose; and
<br /> 3. tNHEREAS, Local Agency has provided, or will make available upon
<br /> approval ;of the aforementioned application, eufficient funds to prepare the
<br /> completed plans herein mentioned;
<br /> 4. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,.that Local Agency_submit the afore-
<br /> - eaid application to the Director of Finance and/or the Poet �Nar Public Worke
<br /> Review Board, as the case may be requesting allotment of six thousand seven
<br /> hundred and eighty-one dollara (�6,781.00) being not more than one-half o£
<br /> the estimated cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such amount as
<br /> may be approved by the Director of Finance and/or the Post ti9ar Public Worka
<br /> Review Board (said allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying the
<br /> • cost of preparing said completed plans required), for a specific project to
<br /> be undertaken by local agency and described as Sewage.Treatinent and Disposal
<br /> Plant.
<br /> 5. BE IT FJRTHER RE30LVED, that the estimated cost of preparing such
<br /> plans is thirteen thousand, six hundred and eighty-one (�$13,681.00) Dollara
<br /> and that Local Agency has made provision for paying one-half or more of the
<br /> cost of preoaring such plan;
<br /> ' 6. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the;purposes of this appliaation
<br /> E, VP. BLOM, City Mana.ger, City Hall, Redwood Gity, be and he hereby 1s
<br /> designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized
<br /> and directed to eign and above-mentioned application on behalf of the Local
<br /> Agency and submit the same to the Director of Finance and/or the Post YVar
<br /> Public sNorke Review Board together with a certified statement of the esti-
<br /> mat�ed cost of preparing such plans and such other information ae may be re-
<br /> quired; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed ae the
<br /> representative of Local Agency to conduct all negotiatione and conolude
<br /> ' all arrangemente, including submisefon to the Director of Finance of appli-
<br /> cations for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure reimburaement
<br /> for the State's share of the expenditures made in preparing eaid completed
<br /> plana,
<br /> - The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the
<br /> Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on
<br /> the 18th day of July, 1946, b.y the following vote:
