It wae the <br /> recornmendation of the City Manager_that the policy be placed with the Hart- <br /> • ford Insurance Company, all bids being equal., Councilman Anderson moved, <br /> , seconded by Councilm�,n Armstrong,�that the recommendation of the City <br /> Manager be acceAted, Motion passed unanimously. � <br /> Councilman Anderson moved, seconded,by Councilman McNulty, adoption of resolu- <br /> . � tion adopting assessment diagram under. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Councilman Granger asked that the Council consider placing two amendmente to the <br /> Criarter on the ballot at the Coming election, 1; That the Clerk be reepon- <br /> sible to the Council rather than to the City Manager, 2, That all depart- <br /> ment heads serving on commiesions aerve in an ex-officio manner, <br /> � Councilman Granger asked to have the City Attorney study the Veterane� Exemption <br /> Lavr to explain it�to the Council and Chief oF Police so as to define a <br /> disabled veteran, <br /> Councilman Anderson a,dvised that the lines on Main and Broadway for parallel park- <br /> . � <br /> ing were very faded. City Manager Blom advised he would look into the matter. <br /> , Councilman �dcNulty aeked to have the City Attorney check on the setback line�for <br /> sidewalks near Five Pointe, 8treet 8uperintendent Ninter advised that the <br /> 8tate had left eix feet for sidewalks, <br /> Councilman McNulty asked hov� often the street sweeper cleaned Main 3treet, City <br /> Manager Hlom advised that the suveeper had been out of operation and that <br /> ' parta have been ordered for its repair. <br /> Councilman Britschgi questioned building at the corner of Blandford and Alameda, <br /> expresaing the opinion that it was a two dwelling house in the first residen- <br /> tial district. Building Inspector Duncan advised that the owner is living <br /> temporarily over the garage while he finiehes the house and that it ie later <br /> • going to be used as a room for his hobby, There is no plumbing equipment <br /> in the garage. <br /> \ � • <br />
