<br /> AESQLVED; by the Council of the City of Redwood City, California, that a
<br /> it doee hereby preliminarily determine that the public oonvenience and �'
<br /> �
<br /> neoesaity require, and that it intende to order the Yollowing improvements
<br /> to be made and for eaid Oity, to-wit:
<br /> 1. The improving of Fairview Avenue, Truman Street, Carson 8treet, '
<br /> Dewey Street, Roosevelt Avenue, Goodwin Avenue, Poplar Avenue, FTalsey Avenue
<br /> and tne alleys and easements ehown on the Map of Aedwood Terrace No, 1, by
<br /> conatructing therein grading, paving, ourbs, gutters, sidewalks, sanitary
<br /> sewere, atorm drains, electroliere with conduit and cable, together with the
<br /> extension of a Portland cement oonorete storm water pipe drain with catch
<br /> basine oapped with cast iron Yrsanea and covers in Oak Avenue from Fairview
<br /> Avenue to Lhe exiating creek northeset of Laguna Avenue; and the construo-
<br /> tion of a storm water drainage canal lined with Portland oement oonarete in 1
<br /> the easements in Lo4s 13 - 18 and 35 - 45, inclueive, Hlock 4, and in Lots
<br /> 12 - 14 and 26 and 27, Block Z, together with reinforced ooncrete culyerts
<br /> acroes Trimman Street and in the intersection of P'a.irview Adenue and Redwood
<br /> Avenue.
<br /> 2. All of said work and impronemente are to be oonstructed at the
<br /> •places and in the p�rticular locatione, of the forme, eizes and dimensions
<br /> and materials, and at the grades and elevations, ae shown and delineated
<br /> upon plane, profiles and speciPioatione to be made therefor and Yiled in
<br /> the office o4 the City Clerk of esid :City, reference to which is hereby
<br /> made for a full, detailed description of such proposed work and for further •
<br /> particulars.
<br /> 3, That all of eaid work and improvements shall be done under the
<br /> supervieion of the City Engineer oY eaid City and all of said work and
<br /> materiale shall be done and furniehed to his satisfaation. .
<br /> 4. Said contemplated work and improveraente are oY more than local
<br /> ordinary public benefit, and the ooet thereof will be aeseseed upon the
<br /> dietrict beneYited-thereby; said district and the boundaries thereof shall
<br /> be ae more par�icularly sho�un on a map thereof on file with the office oY
<br /> said City Clerk.
<br /> 5. Aotice is hereby ginen that bonde,to represent the unpaid asaese-
<br /> mente of �25,00 or more and beaTing intereat at the rate oY not to exceed '
<br /> five percent (5�O) per annum, will be Sseued pursua,nt to Article I of the
<br /> Redwood City Impronement Procedure Ordinance, (Ordinance No. 333, adopte4
<br /> Marau 1932, as amended), the laet installment of whioh bonde ehall
<br /> mature fourteen (14) yeare from the second day of January next eucoeeding
<br /> ten months from the flYteenth day of Nooember Yollowing their`date.
<br /> 6. Exoept ae herein otherwise pronided for the iseuance of bonda, oi
<br /> bonds, all of said work and improvements, and the proceedings therefor
<br /> shall be had pursua.nt to Article I of esid Ordinance,
<br /> 7, aotice ie hereby given that Tueeday, the 3rd day of 3eptember,
<br /> 1946, at the hour of eight o'clook P. M., at the Council Chambers of the
<br /> City Council of said City in the City Hall of said Clty, are hereby fiaed
<br /> as the time and plaae when and where any and all persons interested maq
<br /> appear and snow cause, if any they have, why the City Council ehould not •
<br /> find and determine that the public convenience and neceseitq require the
<br /> improvement desaribed herein without further oomplianoe with the Special
<br /> !►esesement Inneetigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act oY 1931.
<br /> 8. The Clerk oY said City shall gine notice oP the adoption of thie
<br /> resolution and of eaid hearing by publiehing a 1¢otioe of Propoaed Local
<br /> Improvement once in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper publiehed
<br /> and circulated in esid,City, and by posting a copy of said notice on or
<br /> near the Council Chamber door of eaid Council, said poeting and publice-
<br /> tion to be nad at least ten (10) days before esid date of.hearing, 1
<br /> I hereby cert,ify the foregoing to be a true copy of resolution
<br /> •adopted bp the City Counoil of the Citp of Redwood City, Callfornia, at a
<br /> meeting of said Council held on the 19th daq of August, 1946, by the fol-
<br /> lowing vote of the members thereof:
