<br /> OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT IMPROVEMENT9 - REDYVOOD TERRACE No. 1 AND
<br /> ADJACENT TERRITORY
<br /> RE90LVED, by the City Council of the Qity of Redwood City, California,
<br /> that in ite opinion the public interest and convenience require, and that it
<br /> ie the intention of eaid Council to order the Yollowing improvements to be '
<br /> made in and for a portion of ea3d District, to-wit:
<br /> 1. The improving of Fairvieau Avenue, Truman 3treet, Carson Street, Dewey
<br /> 3treet, Roosevelt Avenue, Goodwin Anenue, Popular Anenue, Haleey Avenue, and
<br /> the alleys and easements srioaen on the Map of Redwood Terrace Ho. 1, by oon-
<br /> atructing therein grading, paving, curbs, guttere, sidewalke, sanitary sewere,
<br /> storm drains, electroliers with conduit and cable, together with the exten-
<br /> sion of a Portland cement ooncrete storm water pipe drain with catch baeine
<br /> capped with cast iron frames and covers in Oak Avenue.from Fairniew Avenue
<br /> to tne exiating creek nortneast of Laguna Avenue; and the conetruction of a
<br /> etorm water drainage canal lined with Portland cement concrete in the eaee- •
<br /> mente in Lots 13-18 and 35-45, incluaine, Block 4, and in Lots 18-14 and 26
<br /> and 27, Block 2, together with reinforced concrete culverts acrose Truman
<br /> Street and in the intersection of Fairnieqe Avenue and Redwood Avenue;
<br /> 2. YPhenever any public way is hereby referred to as running between two
<br /> public ways, or from or to anq public way, the intersections of the publiC
<br /> ways referred to are included to the extent tnat work snall be snown on the
<br /> �plana to ne done therein;
<br /> 3. Said etreete and higriways are more particularly ehown in the recorde
<br /> of the Office of the County Recorder of 3an Mateo County, California, and
<br /> sriall be suown upon the plana rierein referred to, to be filed with the Clerk
<br /> of said Council.
<br /> 4, All of said work and improvements are to be constructed at the '
<br /> placea and in the particular looationa, of the forms, aizes and dimeneione
<br /> and materials, and at the linea, grades and elevations, as eriown and deline-
<br /> ated upon the plans, profiles and epecifications to be made therefor, as here-
<br /> inafter provided, �
<br /> 5. There is to be excepted from the work above described any of suori
<br /> work already done to line or grade and marked "excepted" or shown not to be
<br /> done on said plans, profiles and epecifications,
<br /> 6. Said Counoil doea hereby adopt and establish ae the official grades
<br /> for said work and elevations to be shown upon esid plane, profiles and spec-
<br /> ificatione wnich are hereby adopted as the official gradea for said work, All
<br /> auch grades and elevations are to be in feet and decimale thereof with ref-
<br /> erence to the datum plane of the United 3tatea Coast Geodetic Survey. Notiae �
<br /> ie hereby given of the fact that in many cases said work and improcement will
<br /> bring the finished surface of the improved streets to a grade different from
<br /> t surface of such streets as they now exist, and that to said extent said
<br /> grades are hereby changed and that said work will be done to said changed
<br /> gradee.
<br /> 7. $aid contemplated improvements, in the opinion of the said Qity Ooun-
<br /> oil, are of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and said City Gouncil
<br /> doea hereby make trie coets and expenaes tnereof cnargeable upon an asseasment ,
<br /> district, which district eaid City Council declares to be the district bene-
<br /> filed by said impronements and to be aeaessed to pay the coets and eapenses
<br /> thereoY, and which said aeaeesment district, and the boundaries thereof, is
<br /> more particularly described as a etrip 125 feet wide along the west line of
<br /> Roosevelt Avenue from the center line of Fairview Avenue to the southwest line
<br /> of Dewey Street, along the eouthwest line of Dewey 3treet from the southeaet
<br /> line of Roosevelt Anenue to tne soutneast line of Carson Street, along the
<br /> soutnwest line of Lots 41 and 45, Block 4, eaid traot, from the aoutheast line
<br /> of Careon Street to tne northwest line of (3oodwin 3treet, along the southeast '
<br /> line of Goodruin Avenue from the new line of Truman Street to the southeast
<br /> exteneion of esid line of Lot 45, Hlock 4;
<br /> 8. Said City Council further declares that a11 public etreets anfl high-
<br /> ways, and other public property within said assesement district, in uae in
<br /> trie performance of a public function as such�, eha11 be omitted Yrom the assese-
<br /> ment hereafter to be made to cover the casts and expensee of said improvements,
<br /> 9, Notice is hereby given that bonds to represent the unpaid assesements
<br /> of $25.00 or more and bearing interest at the rate of not to exceed five per
<br /> cent (5°�) per annum, will be issued purevant to Article I of the Redwood City •
<br /> Improvement Procedure Ordinance (Ordina.nce No. 333, adopted March 14, 1932, se
<br /> amended), the last installment of whica bonds shall mature fourteen (14) yeare
