<br /> Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as mailed on motion of Councilman
<br /> • McNulty, eeconded by Councilman Fletcher. Motion passed unanimously.
<br /> Application for dance pennit wae receined from Court Madrone No.. 158, F. of A.,
<br /> for benefit dance to be conducted 8aturdays, Februarq 23rd and March 2nd,
<br /> 1946, until 12:00 midnight. Councilman �4cNulty moved, seconded by Council-
<br /> man E1•etcher; that permit be granted. Under the question, Councilman
<br /> Britechgi questioned wny the dances were not allowed to be conducted until
<br /> 1:00 A. M., hov�ever, it wae decided no to take any action on this until
<br /> ' such time as a request was received to do so. Motion paesed unanimously,
<br /> , Application was received from Clarkson Motore to conduct a used car lot at
<br /> , 1 E1 Camino Real. Thie company now conducts an auto sales a.gency at
<br /> 1'701 E1 Camino Real. Counoilman Fletcher mo�ed, seconded by Councilman
<br /> Britschgi, that the permit be granted aubject to the conditioris of Ordi-
<br /> nance No. 376. Motion pasaed unanimously.
<br /> Application was received from 19. A. Van Buren to move used car lot from 302
<br /> • El Camino Real to lot running between E1 Camino Real and.Eiain Street.
<br /> Councilman Fletcrier moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, that the per-
<br /> mit be granted Motion passed unanimously,
<br /> Application was received from Mra. L. �N. Trambley, 1442 Gordon Street,.for a
<br /> commercial chicken permit. This is a second residential district, honu-
<br /> ' ever, some commercial chicken raieing is done in this diatrict, Councilman
<br /> Granger vras of the opinion that the permit should be granted until some
<br /> definite action is taken by the Council as to whether or not chicken
<br /> raising should be continued in this section. He moved, seconded by Council-
<br /> man Fletcher, that the permit be granted subject to the approval of the
<br /> ' Health Department contingent on the fact that this property is in the
<br /> Kentfield Tract, City Attorney McCarthy advised tnat a aimilar application
<br /> ` had been before the Planning Commisaion recently and that they had recom-
<br /> mended against its being granted, which recommendation the Council had
<br /> auatained. Councilman Granger v�ithdrew hie motion with the consent of the
