Councilman Britschgi moved, secr�nded �by <br /> Councilman Fletcher, that the matter be referred to the City Manager. � <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Communication was received fro� Luxor Cabe requesting that a space be deeig- <br /> nated to them across the street from tne Greyhound Bus 3tation on East <br /> Brewster for the purpose o£ installing a telephone which vrill be mounted <br /> on a separate pole and erected 'oy the.telephone company in accordance with , <br /> city regulations. This communication was held over until later in the <br /> meeting until after action had been taken on the taxicab ordinance, <br /> Petition was received signed by approximately 60 of the property owners in <br /> the area requesting concrete svork, curbe and gutters, eide�valks, etc, at <br /> Jefferson Avenue and Quartz 3treet and Vera Avenue and the southwesterly a <br /> city limits.. The matter �ras referred to the �ity Manager for investi- � <br /> �ation and report at the next meeting, <br /> Cornmunication.u�as received from the Redwood City Planning Commission with <br /> several recommendations which were acted upon separately, The first <br /> recommendation was that the Commiseion unanimously detercnined to retain, <br /> for an indefinite period, the present claesification of property on each <br /> . side of `f�oodside Road from E1 Camino Real to the City boundary line as � <br /> it existed prior to the annexation of the Careon-Monckton tract, and <br /> accordingly recommended against tne granting of petitions of Louise R, <br /> Evanq F. and G. Fontana and Hans Jacobsen to rezone tneir properties to <br /> busineae. This decision was reached after a joint meeting vaith the <br /> County Planning Comtnission. Councilman Armstrong• moved, seconded by <br /> Councilman McNulty, that the Council concur�in the Planning Cornmission's <br /> recornmendation, Motion passed unanimously. � <br /> In regard to the rezoning of property on each side of �iddlefield Road, <br /> t17e Comraisaion voted a�ainat.recommending a cnange for zoning due to <br /> opposition presented by property, owners and residents, City �4anager Blom <br /> advised that no one appeared in favor of the.rezoning �,t the meeting of <br /> the Planning Commission but that since that time a petition had been re- � <br /> received signed by 14 of the 15 property owners residing in improved pro- <br /> perty on that street. Councilman Granger moved, eeconded by Councilman <br /> Fletcher, that the matter be referred back to the Planning Commission, <br /> b4otion passed unanimously. <br /> Favorable recommenda.tion was made of a request to subdivide Lot 7 in � <br /> B"lock '!C", Woodside Acres, southwesterly corner of 4xford Street and <br /> Palm Avenue into three lots.
