Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Communication was received from Teddy Lauman, insurance agent tivho riandles trie , <br /> city's insurance matters. He advised that the city was not covered under <br /> m iscellaneous liability insurance and, therefore, the claim of G. Lorenzon <br /> for_$25 damages to trees at 237 Topaz Street could not be allowed, Council- <br /> man Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman hdcNu2ty, that the claim of G. ' <br /> Lorenzon in the amount of �25 for damage to five trees at 237 Topaz 8treet <br /> be allowed. Motion passed unanimously, Councilman Armstrong moved, second- <br /> ed by Councilman Anderson, that the matter of miscellaneous liability•ineur- <br /> ance be referred to tihe City Manager for further etudy, Motion passed , <br /> unanimously, <br /> Communication was received from Nelle L, hfiramontes advising that the city had � <br /> received a check in the �mount of $5536.94 from the County covering the city's <br /> share of:property sold at public auction by County Tax Collector Ralph <br /> MacArthur and listing the property sold. Mrs. Mirrnontes adyised that the <br /> araount received covered all delinq�ent taxes, delinquent rveed abatement and <br /> an additional emountto be credited to Real Estate Fund on some parcels, how- <br /> ever, on B,E, 1/2 of Lot 4 and N.W. Z/2 of Lot 2, Block 2, Resubdivision of <br /> Lot 23, W.W.M. 8ubdivision, the amount did not cover all the bond assesements ' <br /> and �230:4o had to be cancelled on Bond Assessment $eries M-12. The sale <br /> of all the parcels nad been approved by the Real Eatate Committee. Council- <br /> man Fletcner moved, seconded by Councilman Arrnstrong, tna.t the recommendation <br /> of the real estate committee be accepted. �otion passed unanimously, <br /> Appl�cation was received from the Cuddy�Motor Company to move its used car lot <br /> from 5'10 E1 Camino Real to property at Lathrop Street. Councilman Fletcher <br /> moved that tne permit be granted, Councilman Armstrong asked that the motion . <br /> be amended to include that the lot meet all reouirements of present <br /> city ordinances. Councilman Fletcher so amended his motion vrhieh was second- <br /> ed �oy Councilman Anderson and pasaed unanimously. <br /> Ciiy Clerk Dodge reported that advice had been received from County Controller Beer <br /> tnat �100.15 was tne amount necessary for the city to redeem Lots 23, 24, 25, ' <br /> Block 43, Central Park No.� 2. The lots in question were the ones �hich the <br /> Council expressed the desire to retain inasmuch as tney were near the pro- <br /> posed recreational area. Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman <br /> Fletcner, tha.t tne City Manager be instructed to ta.ke whatever steps were 1 <br /> necessary to redeem tne above mentioned lots. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Communication was received from the Redwood City Planning Commission with several <br /> recommendations Yrnich �rere acted upon separately. The first .recommendation <br /> was in regard to proposed change in setback lines on portions of James Ave- <br /> nue, �ilinklebleck �,nd California Streets, and along the driveway from Broad- <br /> way to ';Jinklebleck Street.
