<br /> nation suit pending, It was Mr,Pofils's opinion that the city might acquire
<br /> theee lots from the county for approximate"ly �25 each, City Attorney Mc
<br /> Cartny asked that the Council appoint hirn and the City r.2anager to meet with
<br /> 1 co�nty officials in this matter.
<br /> City Attorney McCarthy also advised that the city hae acquired lots near the
<br /> Animal Shelter wrhich is to be the site of a new grammar school. It was Mr. �
<br /> Polk�s suggestion that the city get title to the lots from the county and
<br /> then sell them to tne school district for a nominal price. Councilman
<br /> Armstrong asked if the.regular procedure to sell lota to the sahool was nec-
<br /> • essary, to which City Attorney McCarthy:replied that it would not be neces-
<br /> sary inasmuch as it was a public concern, Mayor Hilton moved, seconded by
<br /> Councilman �cNulty, that the City Manager and City;:Attorney be appointed to
<br /> approach the Board of Supervisore in regard to the two above mentioned
<br /> matters, Motion passed unanimously, '
<br /> Councilman Granger asked that an investigation be made of the Poplar Avenue Bub-
