RD-96-01 RD 96-01 RD-96-01 RD-96-1 RD 96-1 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT <br /> AGREEMENT FOR MAIN/MIDDLEFIELD REDEVELOPMENT <br /> PROJECT, AND SUSPENDING PROVISIONS OF PREVAILING <br /> WAGE POLICY SUBJECT TO CONSENT OF AFFECTED <br /> PARTIES IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Agency has undertaken preliminary studies and activities <br />for a project designated the Main/Middiefield Redevelopment Project (the <br />"Project") including acquisition of a site bound in part by Main Street and <br />Middlefield Road in the City of Redwood City (the "Project Site"), and <br />contemplating the construction thereon of affordable rental housing, a child care <br />center, and commercial retail space; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency has acquired certain parcels of land within the <br />Project Site over the last several years through direct negotiation with property <br />owners and through eminent domain proceedings, and demolished buildings <br />thereon, and cleared and prepared the Project for development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Agency, working with the Main/Middlefield Project <br />Committee, carefully reviewed several proposals for the development of <br />affordable housing on the Project Site and selected Mezes Court Associates and <br />the Raiser Organization (the "Development Team") to be the developer of the <br />Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency and the Development Team have negotiated an <br />agreement entitled, "Disposition and Development Agreement By and Among <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City and Mezes Court <br /> <br /> <br />
