; , `pRIGiNAL �� i�� 1 <br /> • AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE BETWEEN THE REDWOOD CITY <br /> SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE REDWOOD CITY POLICE <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> This agreement is made as of this day of June 7, 2011 by and between the Redwood City <br /> School District ("RCSD") and the Redwood City Police Department ("CONTRACTOR") to <br /> provide services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. SERVICES <br /> Upon the terms and conditions set out below, the CONTRACTOR agrees to <br /> provide services to address school and student safety on the campuses of Kennedy <br /> Middle School and Hoover School, for the RCSD as described below. <br /> � A. Scope of Services <br /> The CONTRACTOR agrees to provide a School Resource Officer ("SRO") for <br /> Kennedy Middle School to address safety issues as described below. <br /> 1. SRO on site at Kennedy Middle School during 30 weeks of school instruction <br /> for 8 hours a week; days of the week and hours will be jointly determined by <br /> representatives of the CONTRACTOR and Kennedy Middle School. The <br /> SRO will assist the school in patrolling the school perimeter, in mentoring <br /> students with attendance issues, and in providing other supports to the school <br /> as determined collaboratively between representatives of Kennedy, RCSD and <br /> CONTRACTOR. <br /> 2. Parent workshop to educate and support Kennedy students and parents about <br /> the dangers of gang interest and membership. <br /> 3. Will attend partnership meetings and participate in information sharing, <br /> problem-solving, evaluation and data collection process. <br /> The CONTRACTOR agrees to provide a School Resource Officer ("SRO") for <br /> Hoover School to address safety issues as described below. <br /> 1. SRO on site at Hoover School during 30 weeks of school instruction for 8 <br /> hours a week; days of the week and hours will be jointly determined by <br /> representatives of the CONTRACTOR and Hoover School. The SRO will <br /> assist the school in patrolling the school perimeter, in mentoring students with <br /> attendance issues, and providing other supports to the school as determined <br /> collaboratively between representatives of Hoover, RCSD and • <br /> CONTRACTOR. <br /> 2. Will coordinate with Hoover staff to provide police support in the area for <br /> school-based events such as Back to School Night, Parent Conferences, Open <br /> House and 8�' Grade Graduation. <br />
