DES:djk 07/22/97 (#30) <br /> <br /> have the authority to enter into contracts, within budget limits, <br />_ of $10,000 or less, on behalf of the Agency. <br /> <br /> Section 6. Treasurer. The Treas6rer shall be the Director <br /> of Finance of the City of Redwood City. It shall be the <br /> Treasurer's duty to receive and safely keep all monies and <br /> securities belonging to the Agency and coming into the <br /> Treasurer's hands, and to pay out the same only on warrants <br /> signed by the proper officers, except the principal and interest <br /> due on bonds of the Agency. The Treasurer shall deposit, with <br /> such depositories as are provided by law, all funds coming into <br /> said Treasurer's possession. All interest on money so deposited <br /> shall accrue to the benefit of the Agency. The Treasurer may <br /> invest such Agency funds as are not required for immediate <br /> expenditure in any instruments as are provided for by law for the <br /> investment of public funds generally. <br /> <br /> Section 7. Additional Duties. The officers of the Agency <br /> shall perform such other duties as may be required by the Agency, <br /> the by-laws or rules and regulations of the Agency. <br /> <br /> Section 8. Additional Personnel. The Agency may from time <br /> to time employ such personnel as it deems necessary to exercise <br /> its powers, duties and functions as prescribed by the Community <br /> Redevelopment Law of the State of California, as amended from <br /> time to time, (Health and Safety Code, ~§3500 et seq.). The <br /> selection and compensation of such personnel shall be determined <br /> by the Agency. In addition, the Agency may utilize the services <br /> of officers and employees of the City of Redwood City to act on <br /> behalf of the Agency in the same capacity as if they were acting <br /> on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE III - MEETINGS <br /> <br /> Section 1. Regular Meetings. Regular meetings of the <br /> Agency shall be held without notice on the second and fourth <br /> Monday of each month at 7:35 p.m. (immediately after convening <br /> the City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. and recessing to convene as <br /> the Agency) in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1017 <br /> Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. In the event a day <br /> of regular meeting shall be a holiday, no meeting shall be held <br /> until the next regularly scheduled meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Special Meetings. Special meetings may be <br />called, in accordance with the provisions of California <br />Government Code Section 54956, at any time by the Chairperson or <br />by a majority of members of the Agency by delivering personally <br />or by mail written notice to each member of the Agency and to <br />each local newspaper of general circulation, radio or television <br />station requesting notice in writing. Such notice must be <br />delivered personally or by mail at least 24 hours before the time <br />of such meeting as specified by notice.
