PRELIMINARY PLAN <br /> for the <br /> Redevelopment of the Area Added <br /> to the <br /> Redevelopment Project No. 2 <br /> <br /> I. h-NTRODUCTION <br /> <br /> The Redevelopment Plan for the Redevelopment Project No. 2 ( Redevelopment Plan") was adopted by <br /> Ordinance No. 1862 of the City Council of the City of Redwood City on July 19, 1982. The Redevelopment <br /> Plan was subsequently amended on May 20, I985, by Ordinance No. I911 to add area; on December 18, 1989, <br /> by Ordinance No. 2007 to extend the time anc~ financial limits of the Project and add area to the Project; and <br /> again on December 19, 1994, by Ordinance No. 2085 to bring such time limits into conformance with the <br /> legislative requirements imposed by AB 1290. It is now proposed to amend the Redevelopment Plan to add <br /> another sub-area (the "Fourth Amendment Sub-Area") To the project area as amended to date ("Amended <br /> Project Area"). As used in this Preliminary Plan, "Fourth Amendment" refers to the proposed series of <br /> additions and changes to the Redevelopment Plan, including the amendment that will add the Fourth <br /> Amendment Sub-Area to the Amended Project Area. This Preliminary Plan is formulated for and applies only <br /> to the Fourth Amendment Sub-Area selected and added by this Preliminary Plan to the Amended Project Area. <br /> <br /> This Preliminary Plan has been formulated pursuant to California Community Redevelopment Law (Health <br /> ~.~z--. and Safety Code Sections 3z000 et seq.) Sectmn 333_4, and: <br /> <br /> a) Describes the boundaries of the Fourth Amendment Sub-Area. <br /> b) Contains general statements of the land uses, layout of principal streets, population densities <br /> ~ and building intensities and standards proposed as a Oasis for the redevelopment of the Fourth <br /> Amendment Sub-Area. <br /> c) Shows how the purposes of the California Community Redevelopment Law CCRL") would be <br /> attained by such redevelopment. <br /> d) Shows that the proposed redevelopment conforms to the General Plan of the City of Redwood <br /> City. <br /> e) Describes, generally, the impact of the amendment upon the residents located within the <br /> Fourth Amendment Sub-Area and the surrounding neighborhood, including the Amended <br /> Project Area. <br /> <br /> This Preliminary Plan consists of text, a map and a legal description. <br /> <br /> Iff.
