07/14/2003 <br /> <br /> "2.84.1 Research and Development, Office Type. <br /> <br /> A research and development use for which the research and development <br /> components primarily occur in an office setting, with minimal laboratory area or <br /> research equipment, other than computers and other related electronic <br /> equipment. Typical office type research and development uses may include, but <br /> are not limited to, computer software and computer simulation firms." <br /> <br /> "2.84.2 Research and Development, Laboratory Type. <br /> <br /> A research and development use for which the research and development <br /> components require substantial laboratory space and/or other equipment for <br /> testing or development, which may also include associated adjacent or nearby <br /> workstations for recording or preparing written documentation of research. <br /> Typical laboratory type research and development uses may include, but are not <br /> limited to, biotechnical firms and pharmaceutical research laboratories." <br /> <br />Section 3. That Article 11 (Professional Office District), Section 11.2 (Permitted Uses) <br />of the Redwood City Zoning Code is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br />"The following uses are permitted in the Professional Office District if conducted entirely <br />within a building: <br /> <br /> A. Professional offices. <br /> B. Medical offices or medical clinics with a gross floor area of less than two <br /> thousand five hundred (2,500) square feet. <br /> C. Family day care homes within residential structures." <br /> <br />Section 4. That Article 11 (Professional Office District), Section 11.4 (Conditional <br />Uses), subsection B, of the Redwood City Zoning Code is hereby amended in its <br />entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "B. Medical offices or medical clinics with a gross floor area of two thousand <br /> five hundred (2,500) square feet or more." <br /> <br />Section 5. That Article 12 (Central Administrative District), Section 12.2 (Permitted <br />Uses), subsections B and D, of the Redwood City Zoning Code are hereby amended in <br />their entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "B. Medical offices, or medical clinics." <br /> "D. Office type research and development." <br /> <br />Section 6. That Article 14 (Central Business District), Section 14.2 (Permitted Uses), <br />subsection C, of the Redwood City Zoning Code, is hereby amended in its entirety to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />F:Atty/Ord/Ord.174 1130-320 <br />050203 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
