In a required front yard, except as provided below, the maximum height <br /> shall be fourteen (14) feet, the maximum encroachment into the front yard <br /> shall be three (3) feet, and the maximum length shall not exceed 30% of <br /> the length of the front lot line. <br /> <br /> D. In a required street side yard, except as provided below, the maximum <br /> height shall be nine (9) feet, the maximum encroachment shall be not <br /> closer than six (6) feet to the street side lot line, and the maximum length <br /> shall not exceed 30% of the length of the street side lot line. <br /> <br /> E. In required interior side yards, except as provided below, the maximum <br /> height shall be fourteen (14) feet, the maximum encroachment shall be not <br /> closer than three (3) feet from the interior side lot line (and greater than <br /> three feet where prescribed by (G) below), and the maximum length shall <br /> not exceed 30% of the length of the interior side lot line. <br /> <br /> F. In required rear yards, except as provided below, the maximum height <br /> shall be fourteen (14) feet, the maximum encroachment shall be not closer <br /> than three (3) feet from the rear lot line (and greater than three feet where <br /> prescribed by (G) below), and the maximum length shall not exceed 30% <br /> of the length of the rear lot line. <br /> <br /> (3. Except as provided below, in no case shall any encroachment be closer <br /> than one-third (1/3) the height of the structure from the nearest lot line. <br /> <br /> H. Arbors provided at gates or entries are permitted to extend to the property <br /> line, subject to a maximum height of nine (9) feet, a maximum width of <br /> eight (8) feet, and a maximum depth of three (3) feet. Such arbors shall be <br /> integrated into perimeter fencing (unless no fencing exists) in required <br /> front and street side yards and shall be limited to one arbor per street <br /> frontage. For required rear and interior side yards, arbors over gates must <br /> be located approximately perpendicular to the side or rear property line <br /> and shall be limited to one arbor per required yard. <br /> <br /> I. Specified maximum encroachments shall be measured to the outside of <br /> the supporting posts of the arbor or trellis, and beams may extend up to <br /> one (1) foot closer to the lot line than the maximum encroachment <br /> otherwise allowed. The maximum dimensions for arbors at gates and <br /> entries, as provided in subsection (H), shall be measured to the outside of <br /> the supporting posts or to the edge of the beams, whichever is greater. <br /> <br /> J. Arbors and trellises and other similar open structures shall not count as lot <br /> coverage.
